I visited Flamz May 12, 2026 after a meeting at the cafe next door (which was great as well). The owner was kind and chatted with me a bit about opening his space for small gatherings. I mentioned that we have a lot of vegans and he had toppings to accommodate them. I also inquired about gluten free crust and he said he doesn’t keep it on hand because not many request it, but if I give him a heads up he will make sure to have it 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽. I got the Margarita pizza. It was ok. It comes with tomatoes mozzarella and basil. I was expecting more mozzarella and not just the normal amount you would get on any pizza. Usually on this pizza at other places they actually give you dollops of mozzarella on top. It was flavorful but just too much splashes of the basil. The Greek salad was good. I might return and give it another try with a different pizza.
If you are a Chicago native like me, that also travels to New York for Pizza, this pizza here is standing 10 toes down with them 👍🏾 the toppings, the crust, the sauce 😋 👌🏽
