We had an incredible dining experience at Flowers. Everything from the drinks to the papaya salad to the whole fish was truly amazing. Our best meal of 2024 by far! We ordered the King Piccolo and Patio Water for drinks (both great) but the star of the show was the Ca Phe Amer, an amazing version of an espresso martini.

The chicken wings were crispy and perfectly glazed with a sweet/spicy/sticky sauce. The papaya salad was, by far, the best we have ever had. The Bo La Lot and Bo Luc Lac were delicious. The prawns were my husband's favorite, tied with the wings.

And the vegetables....the mushrooms were transcendent. My favorite dish of year. The cauliflower was truly divine. I could become a vegetarian based on these two dishes alone. We ended with whole fish which was fantastic.

An amazing dining and service experience from start to finish. At least a few times a month, my husband asks me if we can fly to Detroit (we live in Florida) to have dinner at Flowers:)

Food was not great. Tasted like they dropped the chicken skewer in a bed of salt. In addition, the food tasted very earthy. Maybe a preference thing but I would imagine it doesn’t fit the tastebuds of many westerners.

Service was very slow. Waiter was nice but for the price the restaurant is charging, I would’ve expected much better service and better food.

Absolutely love the decor and the service was fantastic, however..the food was terrible! I adore Vietnamese food but this is simply not good. Too bad, I wanted to like this place and had high hopes 😔.

Love seeing businesses in the area. Was hoping for a Vietnamese beer-no luck. Ban-Mi? Nah:( They did have Vietnamese food, I just thought they were missing out on some fun opportunities. As for what I ordered, the Chinese sausage was very good, the shrimp were grilled with the shells on and the shells were next to impossible to get off the meat. Rice and egg were fine. Will certainly visit again to support businesses in the area.

Portions were big and flavorful. I suggest doing family style, and the chicken wings are a must! Very nice interior too with a bar, ideal for a date night.

This is a nicely decorated place with pleasant and attentive staff. I think that generally you have to adjust your expectations when eating Asian food in the Midwest. I’ve been to Vietnam before, and I haven’t really had anything in the Midwest that could compare, but I’ve had some pretty good Vietnamese food in Southeast Michigan. This place is semi decent, but the main difference here is price point. The fried chicken is juicy but I wish the flavor was different than caramel, as it ended up just tasting like burnt sugar. The papaya salad was also sooooo sweet. Along with the Bunh. Part of what I love about Vietnamese food is the bright sour and aromatic flavors. What I had was just syrupy. And expensive.

This place never ever disappoints! One of the few places in which the takeout tastes just as good as dining in!! :)

The cocktail was incredible, but everything else was meh. Asian cuisine in the Detroit metro area is awful, and this place is no exception. I got the shaking beef and the cauliflower. The beef was wildly overcooked. Way past well done. It was congratulations. The cauliflower wasn't carmelized enough, and the chilli and horseradish it was prepared with worked against eachother. Also 20% gratuity was included. I got 2 negronis, an entree, and a side, and spent $90. Definitely would not come back.
