Excellent food! Especially when it comes to vegan Freya is the best restaurant I‘ve ever had dinner - even way better than Eleven Madison Park! Great that they offer choices for every course, so you can choose meat, fish, vegetarian or vegan almost on every corse. Excellent job by chef Phoebe and her young, motivated team! The food had a nice umami flavor, great variety of textures and it‘s platted very nicely. The service was very good as well! The sommelier Abigail did an awesome job.Overall absolutely worth the money and for sure I will return. Two hints for improvement:- Keeping and serving the food at the right temperature, several courses where to cold- The acoustics could be improved

Enjoyed an amazing dinner last night. Food was thoughtful, unique, and perfectly prepared. Also got the wine pairing which was exquisite and elevated the meal to another level. Service and hospitality were genuine and executed with thoughtfulness and care. A wonderful experience. Would recommend.

What an amazing experience. Came here for a birthday dinner and was blown away.Atmosphere: A little loud but very private and tables were not too close to one another.Food: Absolutely amazing. I ordered the chef special. The Kabocha was hands down the best bite of the day. From texture to flavor to spice, nothing can compare to it. Only minor complaint was that the steak was smothered with chimichurri but again, minor negative.Parking: Street parking which was a little shady but car was still there when we left.Price: Nothing is cheap these days. More than I would like to spend but for a special occasion, it was worth it.Service: Best part of the whole experience. Everyone was very attentive and knowledgeable with details about the menu.Overall, 5 ⭐

Freya was a phenomenal dining experience, from the food to the service! The plates are artfully crafted, where all ingredients complement and elevate each other—highly recommend to also do the cocktail pairing, which was just as delightful!

What a pleasure to be served such fresh and delicious and beautiful ingredients in such a fun atmosphere.Everything was perfect, especially how they treated my food allergy. As good as the food was, it was not matched to the quality of service we had. They were so fun and authentic to interact with. Truly a joy for a socialite like myself, and for the more reserved like my partner.5/5, excited to get back.Go Detroit!!Dietary restrictions: They were able to cater to my severe gluten allergy with ease.

Honestly, this is probably one of the best, if not best, meals of my life. From the moment we entered the restaurant, the staff were on point…I feel like we had 3 or 4 people covering our table, but at no point did it at all feel intrusive…it was just very attentive. The food was amazing and they were nice enough to allow us to order an extra of one of the dishes as one of our party was jealous when they saw it arrived and compared it to what they had ordered.Food was also exceptional, everything was perfectly balanced in terms of flavor profile. I also purchased a piece of art work from the collection they had on display when we visited. Will most definitely be back the next time I am visiting Detroit!!!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing night at Freya. The staff are friendly, professional, and did their best to accommodate any dietary restrictions. The cocktails were delicious. My girlfriend and I ordered completely different options for each course, and both of us loved all the food. Zero conplaints.Vegetarian options: They had several dishes that were vegetarian or vegan. I am not vegetarian, but still ordered a few. They were delicious.Dietary restrictions: Several dishes were pescetarian. While making reservations, they ask about any dietary restrictions, and ask again once seated.

This restaurant is running like a fine tuned watch. Service was impressive, food creative, some unexpected extras like a glass of bubbly to start. Great teamwork in evidence. High open ceilings made it a bit loud.

We have done two of the special vegan nights, and it’s the best of the best. Fine dining without feeling pretentious. They make you feel special from the door. Open kitchen is fun to watch. High recommend.
