The service was excellent. Very warm and receptive staff. I stopped here to have a beer on many occasions. The food is good too. I would recommend anyone in the area or at the game to stop in.

We stopped in Grand Circus Diner based on an article about the coolest new bars in the city, based on Yelp Reviews. I have to say walking in the front doors, it is an interesting spot. I'm in Detroit on a regular basis, and i've never noticed this place. The decor is a circus menagerie of things. The bar is oddly located in the back of the diner. The menu had unique food and drink options. I ordered the Purple Gang Punch and it was fantastic. The interesting part about the drinks offered, they can be ordered individual or shareable size. We weren't particularly hungry so we opted for the cheese curds, which the bartender suggested. They were basic curds, but the disappointing part, they didn't have any ranch for dipping! (I was in complete shock....lol) I would come back for the drinks and I think this place is worth your time to stop in, just for the novelty.

Went there for lunch today.. . And honestly I was disgusted!!!?😭 It was so very very very unclean....I didn't count on the food being cold either due to there was only 2 other patrons.... The waiter was very very nice tho... So with that being said the tables and glasses were so so dirty and the silverware was nasty too... Food was cold and the water pitcher had melted ice and it was just very unsatisfied... My bill was 42.00 and I was completely honest it was bad.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. It wasn't so bad the first time I went. Kinda sad seeing that prime location suck so much. It's the food and the corny theme. What's funny is that I had applied for a job there got the interview but didn't go because of a better opportunity. Glad that happened!

We wanted to eat before the Tigers game and we chose this place. We sat down and was acknowledged about 5 min later with water. About 10 minutes later , we got menus. 10 min later we were able to finally order. Our waitress disappeared...for a long time and then came back with " our we ready to order .."Our party of 8 placed our order and we waited another 30 min for our food. While " waiting" .. we could see our food that some of use ordered ..sitting up on the hot plate waiting to be served. Waitress was no where to be found . Another waitress came by to refill our waters- and we asked if that was our food sitting there .. She went up and grabbed 2 of our plates. One was mine . The fish meal. My fries were cold , my fish was mushy. The other 5 people didn't get their food for another 15 min , after we complained to yet another manager that our table wasn't fully served. I ate my fish, ( to wait another 10-15 for her to come back.. and I didn't eat all day...) but left the fries and asked for fresh hot ones. Our bills came and we pulled the manager aside and told him our experience. He apologized,.. and eventually told us that " after the game ... to come back and we would get 1/2 off drinks"... come back at 11 pm? For drinks? To sit and wait again? Are you crazy? What a horrible experience. This was a joke . The waitress should of asked for help so her tables weren't waiting on her. We also noticed other people who ordered after us , got their food before us. They ordered the fish also . Just ridiculous. $15 for 3 bite size pieces of fish and 10 cold fries ... with dry Cole slaw .. not worth it. Get the burger . It's more filling , and prob served hot

This place is a fun new locale that really takes the circus theme to the next level. It is great food but a little pricy. For that reason, the lite lunch menu is a better bet. They do have a good selection of drinks in addition to the food. The service was good. The cheesesteak I had was just completely melt-in-your mouth and I enjoyed every bit of it. The barbecue sauce they have is also very unique and goes very nicely with their cries. It has a great view of Grand Circus Park and has a great atmosphere. i would definitely bring the family here.

Fun atmosphere and great food. I'm still thinking about the Philly cheese steak sandwich I had last night. So good!

Its not terrible but so many things miss the mark. This location and space has so much potential and it is frustrating that it was squandered.

Stopped in for drinks during our day in the D. Super fun atmosphere, our server was attentive, and our drinks were delicious. We already enjoyed lunch elsewhere so we didn't try the food but the dishes we saw looked yummy. We will definitely return.

Chicago Hotdog was great! Staff and owner made us feel like family! And we even got to see a celebrity. One of my new fave places in Detroit!!!

We especially went down to dinner on Friday night. The place is cute. The wait staff was very attentive. The ambiance was fun. The food was extremely disappointing. Seems overpriced for the portion of ribs and chicken that you get. French fries were soggy. Chicken wings ordinary and fair. Chopped sirloin had to be sent back twice Needless to say we will not be back.

Had to try the Beyond Burger - very good! Also, I work downtown and was able to call in my order so it was ready when I got there. Just sat down and started eating. A bit pricey though.

Strong cocktails and nice people. One issue: They had a cocktail on the menu for $10 but charged me $14 and said they updated the computers but not the menu on pricing. That's unethical to me.
