Grand River Deli & Burgers

Before heading to the Casino floor, We stopped by the Grand River Deli and Burgers and grabbed the Mayhem Smash burger, fries, 50/50 corn beef/pastrami half and half combo sandwich on an onion roll combo as well as stopped by the Red Lantern for their General Taos Tempura Chicken Bowl with Vegetable fried rice and veggie eg roll. Everything was good 😋 Hopefully they'll bring back the well missed buffet, implement healthy food options or different restaurants, oh and the live music! 😮‍💨😉🥳🥳

Sandwich and fries are on point. Corned beef is amazing. Fries crispy, hot and not greasy.
Staff at desk is in their own social circle. Which is cool. If I had a job like that, I'd love it.
Kraft bag is excellent touch. Pickle bag is a great idea.

What a delicious Reuben! So good. They were loaded with meat. I could only eat half. Fries were also perfect. Place was clean. Staff was busy and working hard, a little disappointed there were no friendly faces. It was more cafeteria lunch teacher style yelling your number and that’s that.

I usually frequent this establishment when visiting Motorcity. Lately my food has been subpar. Today, I ordered a hot corn beef sandwich and the bottom bun was shriveled up and soggy. They need to stop using those plastic containers for the hot sandwiches because it sweats the sandwich. The corn beef was stringy and wasn't tender. It wasn't seasoned well either. I was really disappointed. I had to just throw the sandwich away since I had already left the establishment. I also had a bad experience a month ago with a burger. I really hope all of the chefs get back to taking pride in the flavor and presentation of their food.

Order a smash burger with cheese and bacon and got a burger with almost an half of onion soggy lettuce and pickles that has all been microwave and 1 small piece of bacon. What is a got was a burger made with a I don't give a g attitude. Smh. It's time to revamp

The plan originally wasn’t even to eat there because I have food allergies (I have a gluten allergy) but we took a chance and the nicest lady Kimberly (AKA Kim) walked us through the process of ordering our food because it was our first time and it was a kiosk, when I asked her about how we make it gluten free cause I wanted a burger she went back to the kitchen and told them herself. I told her I liked pickles and she even put some in my box for me as a surprise. My mom got the Maurice salad shown below and the fries. The salad itself is gluten free, the fries were not. I had the single smash burger with bacon. The bacon was crispy but not too crispy, the burger was medium rare and a nice consistency throughout, and the atmosphere was pretty nice.
Kim made me feel safe eating here and I will definitely eat here again if I come back. They go above and beyond if you are polite to them.

Oh my gosh… the corn beef and Swiss were delicious and pretty decent size for $12. The fries were good. And the cheesecake was fabulous!! It was so moist. This is our third time eating there and each time had great cornbeef. We will be back. I would like to purchase a whole cheesecake if possible.

Food wasn't bad, just a little expensive. I got the Caesar salad and it was great! Service wasn't super personable but they were very busy, so it could've been worse.
