Nice atmosphere. Food was pretty good, only recommend the sushi cause you can get most of the menu items elsewhere for cheaper and the same quality. A little frustrated because we were asked if we wanted sparkling or still water, got still water thinking it's normal, free water. Ended up being charged $18 for the water!

What a charming restaurant. It’s intimate with lovely decor of cherry trees throughout. It’s quiet so you can hear conversations, and the seating is comfortable. We had the calamari appetizer that was hot, crispy, and with just a hint of spice. The presidential sushi roll is a staple here that you shouldn’t miss. We also tried the skirt steak that was delicious also. Chef Tyler is creative and personable. Hanah’s is a hidden gem downtown. Don’t miss it!

I have never written a review before, but I feel compelled to after my experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely disgusting - we were served old tuna tartare and sushi. I have never felt so repulsed and wanted to leave a restaurant as quickly as possible. It was a truly unpleasant experience.

First of all, the ambiance here is wonderful. The cherry tree is beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the place is clean. The drinks are unique and really good and the food was fantastic. We ordered char siu bao buns, szechuan brussels sprouts, and two sushi rolls; everything was delicious. The rolls are bigger than you think, so keep that in mind.I'd recommend grabbing a reservation as the place isn't really that big. On a Friday night, it started to get busy around 8pm.Definitely a nice spot for dinner and drinks, with a really nice atmosphere. Perfect for date night or a girls night out.

My husband and a friend of ours came in for dinner on February 10th. We had some issues with our waitress so the manager took over our table. When we received our bill, we asked if the bill can be separated. The total bill was $302. Our friend’s bill was $100. They were supposed to charge my card $202 and my friend’s card $100. They charged my card the full amount ($302), and charged my friend’s card $100. I didn’t realize the incorrect charge until I was looking over my credit card charges a few days later. I called and spoke with a manager who said that she would take care of it and call me back. I never heard from her. I called back and spoke with Peter (the owner), and he told me that he would reach out to their cc merchant and find out what happened. He informed me that it was the weekend so he might not hear anything back until Monday. He assured me that he would get it taken care of, and that he would call me with an update, and accommodate me for my inconvenience. I gave him until Tuesday and he did not call me back, so I called again. I spoke with manager Kayla, she said Peter was not in but she would call him. She put me on hold, came back to the phone and said, Peter said he spoke with the merchant and he will call you tomorrow. I never heard from Peter the next day. I understand he’s probably busy so I called a few days later. Peter wasn’t in, I spoke with manager Sea. She said that Peter should not have had to deal with this because he’s the owner and has a lot on his plate. She told me she would reach out to the merchant and call me back. She kept her word and called me back. She said that everything was handled. I asked her how would I be accommodated, as Peter promised, she said “I don’t know what Peter plans to do to accommodate you, he will call you.” I never heard back from Peter, but at least the charges were corrected on my card after having to make several calls. Other than that, the food was great. Also, I recommend that because you have under age servers, you should either train them to tell customers what’s most requested for alcoholic beverages, or ask the bartender for recommendations. When a customer asks can you recommend a good drink, your server should have a better response than, “I’m underage, I don’t know.”
We came to celebrate a birthday at this spot, but man, what a letdown! This is NOT fine dining but you will pay fine dining prices. The place is freezing cold, we had to keep our coats on the entire time, even after switching to a different table away from the door. Waited over an hour for our food, when it finally came it was cold and dry and just not good at all. We had to flag our server down for steak knives. But we were so hungry by that time we started cutting with our butter knives and it was TOUGH. Service was similar to a sports bar, server was clearly overwhelmed due to bad management/restaurant operations. I don't think it was her fault she did the best she could with the tools she had been given. After we finished eating, we were stuck with dirty plates and had to practically beg for the check (we went to the host stand to get it because we were so tired of waiting and felt trapped). When we finally got it, they dragged us over to the bar to pay. To top it off, they automatically added a 20% tip – fine if the service was decent, but it definitely wasn't. We complained at the front, and they knocked 15% off the bill, but we still ended up shelling out $254 for three people and what was honestly a pretty crappy dinner. We all work downtown in the financial district, and thought this place would be perfect for dinner and drinks, but we definitely won't be going back.

Honestly don’t waste your time! We had reservations and didn’t get seated until 45 min later. One server for the upstairs section Cooper was amazing!!! . We were a party of 12 and the food came out one at a time so by the time the last person got their food the first was done way before. It’s horrible. Food was ok …. Wasn’t good or wasn’t bad it was just ok!!

Please don’t waste your time or money. I wanted to impress a client visiting from Houston and this restaurant was the biggest embarrassment. The service was slow and disorganized and it was only Thursday night. We waited for 15 mins just for a host to great us at the front door. But only after approaching the bar to ask for help. The food was not fresh or seasoned. It actually tasted premade and re-served with flowers and random sauce drizzled on top. Chicken Katsu bao buns- chicken was hard and difficult to chew.Kami Kaze Roll- dry and flavorless. I’ve had fresher sushi from Kroger.Salmon/ Duck/ and Crispy Ribs and fried rice were served cold and again lacked any flavor. After waiting hours to be served the most inedible food, I was presented with a wet and dirty receipt for $600. I love to support all the new businesses in downtown Detroit. But this was a complete fail for me and the city.Run, don’t walk away from this restaurant

Waited 30 minutes past our reservation time to get seated, there were at least 5 other couples also waiting. Once seated, our server was prompt and got appetizers and drinks. Appetizers came with no plates. Went to the bathroom while waiting which was in disarray. Waited 2 HOURS past our reservation time for our food to finally arrive. My skirt steak was nearly well done, a SLIGHT touch of pink, his ribeye almost rare.. we both ordered med rare per the chefs recommendation. We once again waited for steak knives. Music was very loud and furthermore very explicit. Our server was very sweet and I think had the not been so overwhelmed it would have been a better experience, just not what we had planned for a romantic night out. Parked in the public lot because we didn't see the sign for Hannah parking so not sure if they charge for parking or not.

The atmosphere was nice but our service was terrible first off it took almost 2 hours for them to bring our food and then when it came out they took it to 3 tables before they realize it was at the wrong table , so when they bring it they say here is your food but we have to go make the rest because the other table took your food. Excuse me we don’t want any of that only thing we paid for was 2 drinks and an appetizer and last but not least they put a 20% Tip for 2 people wow .
