Great menu options. Also have vegan options today I enjoyed Monte Crisco with curly fries. Portions are very nice sized. My server was kind and attentive and very well knowledgeable about the menu items. You won’t be disappointed.

Ordered the Greek omelette which came with a side of potatoes the food was cooked to absolute perfection. The potatoes were nice and crispy but nowhere near over done. The wait time to receive your food was very minimal as well therefore adding another positive thing to the overall experience .The waitress was very pleasant and attentive and overall gave great customer service. Can't wait to go back.

Had my wee grandkids because their mom was in DMC with my littlest. So a bit of stress, right? The grands were hungry, so I suggested Honest John’s. My partner questioned the wisdom of bringing an 8 and 2 year old to a bar, but hey, it was 1 in the afternoon and chicken nuggets, good burgers, can’t go wrong, right? Right! And then our server, Jeff, made our visit better than 5 stars. He brought the kids colored pencils (crayons break, he explained), and a coloring book. While we waited for our food, he brought orange slices for the kids to keep them settled.Yeah… Honest John’s is the best. Thank you Jeff!

The food is no where near worth the cost. I agree with others abt the food being cold and fries uncooked.

Love this place. Super casual atmosphere (see if you can spot all the hidden Big Boy figurines), communicative and prompt waitstaff, and great prices for standard bar fare.

Delicious bar food made with good, hearty ingredients and drinks served past midnight. Cool scene and atmosphere. You can park in the field nextdoor if you're having a hard time finding a spot along the street. $10-20 if you're just eating. $20-30 if you add a couple beers.Vegetarian options: Black bean and Impossible burgers upon request.

Once one of the few late night spots that had a kitchen operating nearly as late as they served drinks, HJ’s seemed to be top of the game. Reliable drinks, great sandwiches, and the brunch was spot on. But those days seem to be in the near past. The quality at Honest John’s has declined steeply over the last five years. Adaptable during covid, their tent was a nice touch, but the pared down menu and generally dry, over-salted food leaves much to be desired nowadays. The back end of the bar routinely smells like sewage, too — which is unfortunate because the kitchen is next to it. No longer the only game in town, there are plenty of other options nearby for drunk food.

Excellent food for what looks like a dive bar kitchen. You will be pleasantly surprised!
