The cassata cake with added rum is the best! The donuts are average. I tried the German chocolate cake and was very disappointed. Extremely sweet. Lots and lots of coconut. Stick with the cassata cake. The Muffalatto is just ham and cheese. Nothing special and certainly not the authentic sandwich made famous by Central Grocery in New Orleans. I can make ham and cheese sandwiches myself. The staff is always professional, offers suggestions and is friendly.
Highly recommend. I love everything from Vitos. They have these shortbread cookies with sprinkles that are to die for and their cannolis are impeccable. I live an hr away yet still crave them and I have to go to the bakery any time I’m in town.
The best bakery for cannolis and Italian desserts. My favorite items are the Ricotta cannolis and the Almond Coffee Cake. Everything is always amazing and I have never had a bad dessert from Vito's.
