Been looking for an opportunity to come here for years and we finally made it. It did not disappoint! Hands down, the best Polish meal we’ve had anywhere in the States and most definitely in Detroit. Every item on the Polish platter was incredible — pierogis pan fried in butter, the potato pancake was crisp and perfect, a+ kraut, the smoked sausage is freaking delicious. Also love the Cole slaw and plate of pickles and soup. Cannot wait to come back!
A true Detroit classic (116years and still going) great food, service and atmosphere. Everything on the menu was delicious, the cole slaw is a standout. The club sandwich is a monster. There are not many places like this left, make it a point to come here and see it now.
The nickname for this place is the The Polish Yacht Club. There are photos of many Sea Captains on the walls. Also on the walls are photos of past visitors including Henry Ford. Walk inside and you will love the atmosphere and all the history in this fun restaurant with great food at a very good price. Don't be afraid of the neighborhood, walk in and you will meet Patti, the owner from her family that has had this place since 1909. The food was home made and great tasting....
