Their pastries are unique and absolutely delicious. If you like ube this is the place to come for sweet treats. But honestly I've never had anything that was anything less than delicious here. Highly highly recommended!
Their breads and treats are so yummy! But it'd be nice if they have place to chose (or see) items without interrupting lines for checkout. Or if they just let customers grab items by themselves and not from the display. It usually takes time for me to decide which one I want from the display so it was hard for me not to feel pressure lol For that reason, next time I go there, I probably try to decide which one I want before going to the store. Also there are only few tables...
JP Makes and Bakes is truly a gem to Detroit with a great variety of pastries with flavors unique to the USA, such as ube. Everything is incredibly fresh and the prices are very fair. Service is also top notch.
As someone who loves pastries but prefers doesn't like too sweet, these pastries are perfect. I think I ate too much as a result.
