Amazing happy hour 4-530 Monday- Thurs. $ 7 cocktails and 4 oz filet $28. The best part of going to London Chop House? The amazing staff. Dorian is their doorman for 10 years, such an amazing soul. The staff inside are welcoming, knowledgeable, true professionals. You never have to worry about poor or indifferent service here. Here are a few bonuses: Frank Sinatra ate there. Ask where his booth was. There is a wonderful cigar bar on the third floor with a billatds table. Best restaurant in downtown Detroit, no questions!Vegetarian options: I'm a vegetarian and my husband is not. When we go during happy hour, I get a baked potato and he gets filet mignon. We go to alot of steakhouses and typically get a potato. I can't recall what I ate at the times we had dinner there, but I went away satisfied.

Atmosphere was nice but that is about it. I was so dissatisfied that I did not take any photos of my visit. My husband and I had a reservation with another couple for a birthday dinner and I saw first hand how other patrons were treated and u fortunately we weren’t given that same treatment. When we checked in for our reservation, staff did not offer to check my coat in but I witnessed other couples get offered. Our server was very impersonable and it felt like our dining experience was very rushed. While trying to enjoy our meal, we were approached more than once and asked if we wanted our food boxed up to go. I definitely will never return to this establishment again for the amount of money spent.

What a great experience. Classic steakhouse vibes with outstanding food. Service was also outstanding and if ever in Detroit again it would definitely be on the list of go to's.

Cannot recommend this place enough! We ended up here on a Saturday night for dinner without a reservation and ended up being seated right away and our server was absolutely wonderful. Our food ended up being the best dinner we've had in SO long! Phenomenal dinner experience!

Sad to post this..... The Chop House was a regular go to spot for us for many years. After being away, we decided to dine there the other night when we came to town. Two words to describe our meal overall were bland and warm. The oysters Rockefeller were enjoyable. The salads were OK but the main courses were both bland and luke warm. Not sure if they sat too long before they came to the table. Both were under-spiced, the foie gras burger was actually greasy. The ambiance was wonderful as it always is. The piano player was fantastic. As I mentioned before our server was quite personable. Overall thoughts are we may be back for cocktails and appetizers to enjoy the ambiance but that's all.

Dined in 02/24- love love love london but the service Mathew gave us yesterday on my husbands 30th birthday was ridiculous! very slow, didn’t ask us questions, didn’t even bring out a cake at the end, it’s a 400$ meal for two people i don’t need to pay for a small cake which i have never at london! also he didn’t remove our plates other people did it. or clean our table after bread. I Will come again bc we love london keep Mathew at home!

Our steak and lamb chops were excellent. U-12 shrimp were huge my beef barley soup was just okay. Crab Bisque was great and so was the carrot cake, serving size was extra large, service impeccable and I loved the atmosphere.

Old school ambience in an elegant dining space. This was an experience reminiscent of a bygone era. Greeted by polite valet and a door man. Coat check optional and appreciated. The table was set with black linens and shaded candle. Service was excellent and attentive. The French onion and crab bisque soups were rich and decadent. Dry aged ribeye was trimmed of fat and but marbled throughout. My husband enjoyed every bite. My filet mignon was perfectly cooked to medium. Brussel sprouts with sweet potatoes and bacon was a meal in itself. I enjoyed a blueberry faux-jito non alcoholic beverage garnished with mint. We enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend.
