I've been eating a Marcus for many years and at a time when there were more locations spread out around Detroit. It's quite a trip now as I live out in Livonia, but I make it there a half dozen times a year. I'm there for the Marcus Burger, always get two, and have them served one at a time so both are hot. Some things are just worth going out of your way for.

Marcus Hamburgers has been around since 1929, and yet it is a recent find for me, what a gem!
Old school dining room, good food, great prices and friendly staff makes this a great little spot.

Never judge a book by its cover. Drove by this restaurant hundreds of times going to see my girlfriend who lived off 6 mile by the cemetery. Never once did I ever give it a thought to stop in and try the food. 50 + years later, while picking up paczki's at sweetheart bakery on Kelly and seven mile, I finally took a chance to check it off my bucket list. Natasha, our server, was genuinely friendly as my wife and I both had an original Marcus hamburger. Delicious. Sitting there on the counter stool, I felt that I was in no hurry to leave as other patrons were greeted by names as they entered or left. Overall value, priceless.

I may have just "found" my new favorite place - Marcus Hamburgers on 6 Mile in Detroit (not too far from the Two Way and Buddy's. It's been here nearly 100 years.Their "claim to fame" is their rectangular hamburgers, served in a hot dog bun. Food is pretty standard, but very obviously made with love. Can't wait to introduce it to everybody!

This is not your average coney place as it is a little off the beat and path. This burger is shaped as a hot dog and tasted pretty good.? owner was nice. FYI, this is a Cash only establishment!
