Menjo’s is a staple to one visiting Detroit. This is where Christopher Flynn used to meet Madonna in the 1970’s and dance with her. It’s where she cut her teeth as a nightlife person and this place still carries this pure energy. Today there is such a smart blend of DJs that spin here that is purely cross-generational from every decade of House and makes underground known. They make Menjo’s phenomenal. DJ Wax Assassin and Dj Andrew Wiesman were incredible to listen to perform their sets and nice to go between room and the patio area to hear the amazing sounds they were blending for us.

But I was here about 20 years ago and it was awesome. Great vibes and an excellent dance space.
The bathrooms were a whole other party, if you know what I'm sayin'.
This is a great spot with lots of sexy dudes and good vibes.
You will certainly make new friends here.

Tried to go in at 8pm and it was locked so went to gigis.
Thank you so much to the owner for helping us out when the situation that we were in we got dropped off by an Uber that was scamming us and he instantly knew how to take care of us and make sure we were safe until the next uber arrived the security was top-notch and protected us until we were Able to get into the next Uber. We respect this place highly

amazing vibes in here. not a lot of gay bars like this left. relaxed, welcoming, casual. tried and true - but also feels how gay bars used to feel: kind of dark, secretive, nonjudgemental,cheap, pool table, dance floor, strong drinks and a bartender who doesnt hate making small talk or serving ppl drinks. this place has some cool history too.
