Outstanding sauerbraten, Rot kohl, and strudel! Beautiful atmosphere at this historical detroit landmark!
The Dakota Inn is a great place for dinner and for Oktoberfest - great piece of Detroit History
Very traditional German food. I had the Jager Schnitzel and it was excellent.

Dakota Inn is a fantastic spot for an authentic German meal with a fun atmosphere. The Bavarian pretzel and apple strudel are must-tries. The piano singer adds to the lively vibe, providing entertainment that guests enjoy, especially during celebrations. The staff are wonderful and friendly, making the dining experience even better. Reservations are recommended during holidays, as it can get quite busy. Parking is available in a fenced lot with security. Highly recommended dishes include the German potato salad and schnitzel. While the restaurant is known for its comradery and excellent management, it is also very loud, making it hard to hear others at the table. Despite this, Dakota Inn is perfect for those who enjoy a lively dining experience. Cheers to their 90 years in business! Please note, the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible, as there is a step at the front door and the bathroom is difficult for wheelchair users.
