Historic (1902) Corktown Irish Pub w/ antique revolvers & Firefighter memorabilia. Smallish place that gets packed when busy & definitely a proper neighborhood/dive vibe. Nothing fancy but a well stocked bar n pretty fair prices! I didn't even know they served food but i always come at weird times/days. i like stopping in on slow days! N open on mondays! It's definitely worth checking out! đ đș đ» âïž
Went here after work w/ some friends, cool spot, definitely be back
A good old traditional pub, serving good old traditional booze, with good old traditional service. Great Fun! (Maybe too much fun, recommend Uber)
I can not rate the service or food...only because it was so crowded after the St patricks day parade, there was no room inside or outside. We went there to eat, but our large group of 12 and the wall to wall of peeps just wouldn't allow. However, I've been coming to the Nancy Whiskey for over 20 years. Love this bar, drinks are top notch, and the service is fantastic normally. It was just way over capacity this last visit. Will return.
A must stop on St Patrick's Day. Such an awesome historic Detroit bar.
Classic neighborhood Irish bar with fantastic food, service, drinks and local music! Always a fun time you're not a true Detroiter if you haven't partied here!

Love this place. Favorite bar in town.
I tried to eat here a few years ago during Lent because I heard they had a fabulous fish fry. However, they were WAYYYY too busy to wait for a table. No fish for me! ? I decided to check it out today. I parked on the street outside of the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised to see that the place was not busy. This is a small place. There are probably 12 stools along the bar and maybe 8 or 10 four tops. The bartender was the only one on the floor. She greeted me from behind the bar when I walked in and I sat myself at a table. The place was REALLY clean. Itâs a really homey-looking neighborhood bar. The Tiger game was just about to start so I settled in with the menu and the game. A few minutes later, droves of people started coming in. The bar stools filled up and at least half of the tables were seated within a few minutes of the start of the Tigerâs game. The bartender (my waitress) was slammed. She gave priority to cocktails and even shouted to me at one point from behind the bar: âI have to get these drinks first, then I can get your order!!â Okkk? I was here 15 minutes before these customers but whatever⊠I waited about 20-25 minutes before she finally got around to taking my order and when she did, I felt guilty that I were burdening her. The food took forever to come. It arrived a FULL hour AFTER I seated myself. The food arrived in a paper-lined basket. I got a Reuben because the bartender (waitress) said they were famous for their burgers, corned beef and their Friday fish fry. Man, that Rueben was TINY for $12 and only came with a salty, sour dill pickle spear on the side! The corned beef had a good flavor but it was cold and dry. (Dry⊠like âcorned beef jerkyâ dry.) However, I liked the way the bread was grilled. They used the least possible amount of butter (oil) to brown it. Sometimes the bread is too greasy on a Rueben so this was a nice change. It had a sprinkle of sauerkraut, a slice of swiss and the 1000 Island was served on the side. It was OK. In the end, I canât give this place a high rating due to the limited menu, the SUPER SLOWWWW service, the high prices and the dry corned beef. At best, I'd rate this a 5 out of 10. I did appreciate the bartenderâs attempt to make things better by charging me a couple bucks less for my sandwich but it was too little, too late. I wonât be back. Well, maybe for the fish fry during Lent. Maybe.
