Based on six reviews, Nicky D’s Coney Island offers tasty comfort food at reasonable prices. The food is consistently good, with standout items including the Chicken Gyro, Catfish fried hard, and the Corned Beef omelette. The Spinach & Feta cheese and Ham & Swiss cheese omelettes are also tasty. The salads are very fresh, and the chili fries have a good cheese to fry ratio. However, the cod dinner was fried very hard and mostly inedible, and some fries looked like they had been sitting under heat lamps. Service can vary, but the Coneys are seasoned better than other Coney Islands. The restaurant is a good spot for a family lunch, with no complaints from kids.
