This is not a convenient location if you're just trying to come in off the street. I just wanted to run in and grab something but there is no place to park unless I wanted to pay 10 for parking just to grab a 5 dollar item. No thank you!

I ordered online 15 minutes before I arrived and still had to wait 40 minutes for two sandwiches!
This happened once before, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried again; SAME RESULT! Worst service I've recieved. The teller yelled out to the customers, that "There is a 40 minute wait on all orders taken at the register."
How an online order of two sandwiches given 15 minutes prior, take another 40 minutes to produce? Evidence of poor management and zero direction, as well as poor training of the kitchen staff.
Hard to think things can get any worse.
I'll be contacting the general manager about this location.

I recently visited the Panera Bread at the GM Renaissance Center in Detroit, and I was extremely disappointed. From the moment we stepped in, we were informed that there would be a 50-minute to 1-hour wait for food orders, and a 30 to 45-minute wait for any drinks. Is this how Panera Bread welcomes its customers?

I would have expected a location in a high-profile place like the GM Renaissance Center to uphold higher standards and create a more welcoming atmosphere, but that was far from the case. It felt unprofessional and unpleasant, with staff loudly informing every customer that the wait times would be extremely long. The tone and service left much to be desired.

This place needs serious attention, or it would be better off closing if it cannot properly serve its customers. I won’t be returning to this location, and based on what I saw, I’m sure other customers feel the same.

I went for chili yesterday on my lunch break and I had a half Italian sandwich. I waited over 40 minutes and I asked the young light skinned guy wearing a white wave cap on his head, where was my order? He looked at me twice and laughed at me twice and I said something to the manager and he said he would refund my order. It’s been over 24 hours and I still never received my order or my money??????????

We were told “5 minutes before close, better hurry up”. Really? Those were her EXACT words. If you’re open to 5pm, you need to help customers until that time. Ridiculous behavior.

I arrived at this panera bread at 12:10 we ordered our food and waited. Half the food came 20 minutes later and then 10 minutes later the rest came! Then they messed up our order not once but twice. Finnaly i ate my messed up food one hour after i ordered. The food is dry, cold, and stale. DO NOT

Racist employee! I came here to buy some coffee to start my morning. I paid for a regular cup of coffee with their self checkout kiosk because there was no one at the register. After waiting for a while for my cup, I asked this old white lady with curly hair if I can get my cup so I can fix my coffee. She didn’t even look at me just held up her finger as to signal “one second”. I asked if she could just give me a cup so I can go about my day. She said I have to wait at the pickup area. I was like okay fine, but once I got my cup a white man came up and asked the same exact thing. No questions asked with a completely different attitude, she gave him a cup as if I’m not standing 4 feet behind him. The racism is unreal, I would have never expected something to happen like this in Detroit of all places. She should be fired.
