I always enjoy dinner at Selden and highly recommend it. Last night was my favorite meal yet! We got the beet salad, roasted cauliflower, grilled bratwurst, tagliatelle, and the special for the night was pierogis and they were unreal! I almost feel bad including them in the review since they said it was a one night special only. Hopefully they bring them back as a seasonal item, so good

I’d read & heard great things about Selden Standard and holy moly everything not only lived up to but comfortably exceeded my expectations. This was almost certainly a top 5 meal for my. Katie was my server and she was awesome - super helpful and patient with my questions, and gave great recommendations. This was a solo meal for me and I had three dishes (the beet salad, roasted mushrooms, and walleye) plus dessert (Pavolva) and was comfortably full; I’m sure the bread is delicious but I think skipping it was the right call for me to save room. Every dish I had was genuinely outstanding and full of flavor, so it’s tough to pick a favorite but if I had to choose I’d probably say the mushrooms - quite probably the best mushrooms I’ve ever had. I just had a beer but the cocktails & wine selections look great and I’ll consider those whenever I return. I really can’t recommend Selden Standard highly enough!

We had a large party and I felt the music was a little too loud.
I would STRONLY recommend Selden Standard. I will go again!
The best thing they did is they went though the menu and cross out food for me and my girlfreind allergies. So whoever did that huge thank you. was ok it either needed more salt on it but one thing was way over salted. But they did take that off are Bill. And the music needs to be turn down I couldn't even talk to my girlfriend siting next to me and her fokes across.

Selden always has the best flavor combinations. A lot of Fennel-flavored items on the menu (which I’m not typically a fan of), but there were plenty of other delicious options. The restaurant typically recommends 2-3 dishes per person in a family sharing style, and we ordered the Mushrooms, Vegetable Carpaccio, Cauliflower, Shrimp&Grits, and Beef Tagliatelle.

Came here for my 28th birthday and wasn’t served because I forgot my id. Drove 30 minutes with my parents and 90-year-old grandma since I had never been but heard great things. The manager was incredibly rude and told us to go to Shewolf where they would serve me there. Ha. For one of the highest rated establishments in Detroit, we are all severely disappointed and will not return. PS if anyone from Shewolf sees this, I think your restaurant is amazing.

Horrible. The manager told us to go to She Wolf for better service. This was my third time at this establishment and have never been treated so poorly by management. Cant believe he told us to go to She Wolf. Much better restaurant by the way.
