This a solid middle of the road taco place in Detroit. Parking is rough but that’s not why a star is off. The food is pretty good but it takes a lonnnnng time to get it. I suggest ordering ahead for takeout. The food gets five stars for one item alone (the rest being ok) GET THE ELOTE CHICKEN WINGS. Do it. Seriously. My husband and I had to buy more we were fighting hard over them. Whoever made them loves food and isn’t stingy sharing that love.
The food here was so delicious I went twice back to back! I added more food to my order and was even more impressed than the last visit! It’s not by luck…This food is made with love! Service is top tier! Very friendly and welcoming environment! If I’m in Detroit it’s a MUST that I’ll visit again!
I visited Detroit from ATL in and we stopped by Shell Shock’d for food. The food far exceeded my expectations. The tacos, street corn, and fries were all amazing and a blast of authentic cuisine. The serving sizes were also very pleasing. This is a must try food spot with a welcoming staff. I’m hoping they expand to ATL soon (we need this food).
