Detroit's Corktown neighborhood has had a lot written about its comeback over the past decade, and Slows Bar BQ has been one of the restaurants people point to as evidence that the revival is real. It opened in 2005 in a brick building on Michigan Avenue near the old train station, and it's been packed more or less consistently ever since. I saw the reviews, so I decided to check this place out. It is definitely a clean restaurant with a nice atmosphere. They have good-sized booths to sit in and six different sauces to choose from.
