Overall it was sadly disappointing. It was a slower Monday evening. The host took forever to get to the host stand so we went to the bar. At the bar, it took us over five minutes to get menus and or water. Mind you, it was just two of us. The bartender did make a wonderful take on the traditional paper airplane. The wife decided she wanted to sit at a table.So we were moved to a table, our server once there seemed rather out of it for lack of a better term. They were out of the first three.Items that we had ordered to our astonishment. We ordered the octopus and the udon noodle cacio pepe. The octopus was seasoned very well cooked nicely, a smaller portion, the presentation was very unappealing. The udon noodle appetizer was surprisingly good. Our server informed me that ownership doesn't keep a fully stocked kitchen until the weekend. Hence, our first 3 items chosen were not available on that Monday evening.I ordered my second drink of a Yamazaki 12 yr old whiskey, ice on the side. That took roughly about ten minutes to come to the table. By the time my second drink arrived, we had decided.We were ready to leave.So I asked the server for the bill. The decor fit and finish was off for having been opened a year. Very cheap looking IKEA pendants hung from an unfinished ceiling. In their defense, some of the sushi that we did see coming out looked very appealing, but at that time, our appetites had waned. We won't be back.

Went here for my husband’s birthday celebration. We shared plates among the table and then got sushi. The sea bass was incredible, so was the chicken! Little pricy, and they were out of a lot of stuff on a Saturday, so that was a bummer. We would go back.

Our server was knowledgeable about the food and sake, and very helpful in selections. The quality of fish was exceptional and flavors were outstanding. Next time I hope to try the sashimi platter. The only addition(s) I'd like to see is a chef's omakase option and a chirashi bowl.

Sushi was mediocre, but the real issue was the service. We ordered a few pieces of nigiri midway through our meal, and waited well over thirty minutes for a few pieces of nigiri. I understand that they can get busy, but our waiter continually lied to us that our order was almost ready. I’m not one to leave negative reviews, but the service was unprofessional and disrespectful enough for me to make an exception. I absolutely would not recommend Soraya.
Matthew was the best. He explained the menu very well, was very careful with allergy restrictions, checked up on us often, and took our orders so quick. He was really nice too. Great appetizers and portions. Best sashimi I have ever had. Sushi was good.

For my first time visit, I have to say that my expectations were exceeded! Everything from the food to the service to the lofi music playing in the restaurant....it was a really great experience! Because this was a first time visit, our server had a lot of great recommendations for sushi rolls and desserts, and even had some recommendations for future visits. Definitely a 5/5 experience and already planning my next visit!

My husband & I came here for date night. The food & service was great. Matthew K was our server & he was very accommodating, as we're the host & other waitstaff. However, those chairs GOTTA GO! I'm 6'1 & the table school chairs were so harsh on my back!!!! Please ditch them! Otherwise, we had a fantastic time 😊

Absolutely great sashimi. Their offerings for sushi were a bit limited, but what they do, they do extremely well. The service was great also--I'd definitely go again. My only complaint was that the music was a little loud.
