Soul on Ice Detroit Drinking Den

I've been waiting to visit this place for a few months now. So a few family members and myself went for my birthday during happy hour 5pm-8pm on Friday. Parking is limited but gated. When I walked in the door, the bouncer at the door was unwelcoming. I politely spoke and said hi and all he did was point out my bag and said I I need to look in it. So I smiled and again said Hi. He just looked at me. Once I walked in the atmosphere was very nice but small. There was a nice lady at the door that was making sure my group had a place to sit. The man bartender with the long dreadlocks and the lady at the door gave us Great customer service. Drinks and finger food was good. The music 🎵 was nice. I found out later the DJ was a good friend DJ Tone. I would go back. Hopefully they change the happy hours to an earlier time like 3pm -7pm I could see that place being backed in the summer. Thank you for the great customer service and I enjoyedy my visit here.

It’s giving New York, it’s giving Chicago, but right here in the city — and they don’t miss. You don’t have to worry about parking, safety, the food, the drinks, the service… none of it. Everything is consistently on point, every single time.

And the music? Please. Live DJs spinning, and I’m talking about the BEST Detroit has to offer. The rotation stays fresh, so no two nights feel the same, but the vibe is always exactly what it needs to be.

The crowd? Grown. Mature. No nonsense. Just good energy and people who came to actually enjoy themselves.

And let me be clear — this is NOT your average neighborhood bar. It’s a whole neighborhood experience.

Very nice place. Much larger during the warm months of the year. Private event so the service was great along with the food, drinks, and entertainment. When the parking lot is full and there is no valet, this is the only issue as the entrance is through the gated parking lot. Not convenient for ladies walking to their cars at night on the street . Other than that, great place and service.

I went with my family to enjoy a night out after Christmas and we were being treated wrong from the second we walked in. They make you give them your coats even though it’s cold inside the owner was able to wear his coat and scarf while walking around. The owner kept watching us and standing near our table next to the bar. He then made a comment as we were leaving out to our waitress that was very inappropriate as a business owner. I love supporting black owned businesses, but I will not be back to this one.

I live nearby in Dearborn and wanted to show my suburban family there are local bar that's nice but I was embarrassed and disappointed that The Owner made a comment that was inappropriate nevertheless we will not be supporting His business and black-owned business again..... Sign unhappy customer !!!!

1st time here!!! I didn't have anything to eat, but the drinks were very on point! Love the vibe! Definitely for the mature adults, 30&up!
