If you are a vegan in metro Detroit and have somehow missed Street Beet's pop ups over the years, you need to get down to their restaurant asap! For loyal fans, you already know how good the food is, now in cozy corner in Corktown.
I apologize for not taking pictures, but we were too excited and immediately devoured our crunchywrap, chicken sandwich and chili cheese fries- all of which were incredible.
We can't wait to come back for more!

I went to Street Beet as a party of five. We all ordered something different and we started with the appetizers where we ordered each appetizer from the menu followed by ordering a different main dish. It became quickly apparent that the food was not up to the quality with expected as well as a strange variance in portion sizes. It is also worth noting that one of the dishes we ordered was forgotten leaving one of our party members to sit without food for almost an hour where we were offered a complimentary cookie that no one enjoyed.
Starting with the appetizers, the hot honey Brussels sprouts and pepperoncini popper dip were quite good. A bit pricey but everyone at the table enjoyed these. The rest of the appetizers should be avoided, especially the chicken nuggets. They are just breaded tofu and do not taste like chicken at all. The animal style fries were also something to be desired as they were just soggy and felt low quality.
The main dishes, I had the green melt which had a strong salt water taste and nothing else really shined through. Another one at our table had the chicken sandwich and both of these items looked like they were from the kids menu while those who ordered the wraps had more than triple the size of our meals.
Finally, the service. While our server was nice, we had dirty plates ignored multiple times and the one member in our party had their dish completely forgotten, which extended our wait. The only service that seemed prompt was when they went around filming everyone for marketing purposes. They conveniently stopped filming when people received their orders.
Overall, I’d avoid this place at all costs! It is overly priced, the portions are inconsistent making it feel like ordering from the menu is a trick on if you’re getting a large portion, a small portion, enjoyable, or passable, and mediocre service. I hope this place can get their act together, because as it is now it seems to be mimicking what non-vegans expect vegan food to taste like.

Went in for taco hell. I was very excited to try the crunchywrap. I was one of the first people to sit down. First they said it would take 45 minutes to get my food, then they added another hour on after that so i paid for my tea and went home to cook my own dinner.
Im sure the food would have been good if they didnt just waste my time.

I had this Memorial Day weekend & I've thought about it every day since. Wasn't big on the nacho sauce but the pita? THE CORNY ISLAND PITA!? It was perfect. I want one every day for the rest of my life 🙌🏼

Street Beet makes amazing food. I haven't had anything there that hasn't been absolutely fantastic. But they don't just make great food they're also kind and caring people. They really care about the food they're making, and they care about the people eating it. My husband called them the other night because the gf crunchwrap we ordered honestly looked too good to be gf. All my gf people know what that is like! They were SO sweet and had him text a photo to be on the safe side. They even polled the kitchen workers to be extra safe. That's above and beyond customer service right there. And they were, of course, right it was gf! That tortilla fully blew my mind! Thank you, Street Beet, for being so nice, making such amazing food, and for making suspiciously delicious and safe gf options. I am forever a fan 💖

Food was amazing man words can even describe bro the Banana Break Milkshake is to die for. Food comes out fresh I had the Chili Cheese fries and the Corny Island Pita everything exceeded expectations. Prices are reasonable for what you get plus the quality. I recommend this place to non vegans aswell. I definitely will be coming back to try their vegan patty melt.
