First time I've tried The Turkey Grill. I was pleased. The meal I purchased had 4 big flats, fries, and two rolls. Unfortunately, they were out of drums. However, the portions were enough to feed 3 adults. I also bought a side of Collard greens, which were very good. Too bad they don't sell corn bread.
I ordered the seafood gumbo. The portion was very small. It only had one shrimp in it, and broken pieces crab legs in it. The broken pieces of crab made it difficult and painful to eat. It did have a good flavor, but only 3 stars because the shells stabbed me in the gums.
The restaurant is not made for dining which is fine with me. I ordered two smoked turkey legs -one for today and the other for tomorrow. I was so disappointed when I touched the leg to find it was dry and COLD!!! Like the leg came straight out of the refrigerator. Turkey Legs are my favorite food and this place had my hopes up. Black owned and operated. I checked the other leg. Also dry and COLD! Cooked but COLD! So disappointed. The greens and yams were awesome but...
