I was recently at this restaurant during the breakfast shift and witnessed something very unprofessional that I think management should be aware of. While dining, I observed a pregnant manager loudly scolding one of the staff in front of customers, including myself. The employee had made a small mistake, but the way the manager handled it—raising her voice, using profanity, and doing so in front of guests—came across as unnecessarily harsh and inappropriate. My server went from a ball of sunshine and cheer to slightly deflated and apologetic when there was no real need to be.
Everyone makes mistakes, but addressing them in such a public and aggressive manner reflects poorly on the establishment. It made the atmosphere uncomfortable for customers and, I’m sure, for the employee as well. A more professional and respectful approach would go a long way toward creating a better environment for both staff and guests.
Overall, my service was great and the food was great however the pregnant manager jumping down her employees throat left me walking out of the restaurant with a taste of guilt in my mouth instead of the delicious food. I will consider upping my star rating, however, I would need to see this addressed first.

Yolanda was the best server. The drinks were delish the food was fire the atmosphere relaxed sophisticated chill. I'll definitely be back. Get that chicken flat bread joint. 😋

Bartender was very slow, and skipped over us multiple times. He also took our cash and never brought a receipt or change. Service overall just needs to be improved

I have owned two restaurants/bars....if my employees would have treated us as we were treated tonight I would have lost my business. Loved the staff at Hotel Indigo but I think they should really step up the service in the hotels restaurant/bar!

Prepare for delays. Have tried to get lunch here a hand full of times, it’s always empty inside but for some reason the food takes forever and the service is so slow. I can’t say I would come back for these reasons.

Food and atmosphere were pretty good, but service was abysmally slow even though we were the only two people in the place at 1:00 in the afternoon. That being said, the burger and fries were both very good. My colleague got a steak and said it was also very good.

We walked into the restaurant around 9 and had delicious food in front of us 10 minutes. Soup and salad were both better than we hoped. Then our Trolly sub and fries arrived and blew us away with deliciousness! The bread was soft and perfect for the sauce and meats. Fries were plentiful and HOT!! We have been in Detroit for 2 days and the Trolly bar is the best food by far, so far, for us!! Give them a shot...

Mixed review here.. due to the spotty service. In town for a concert and arrived at Indigo after midnight (4 hrs of Delta delays). Saturday morning the Bartender/Server was a very polite and efficient gentleman - he was the only server and managed to keep everything rolling. My eggs Benedict was very good. Mimosas were flowing. But by Saturday evening, we came down for dinner at 5 and could not get service. There were 2 servers. We waited 20 minutes at the bar and simply could not get their attention. It was not busy, maybe 4 others. Another customer sitting by us at the bar said “you’re about to lose customers here” to no reaction. So we went to next door to Sullivan’s in the Westin. (Fabulous btw). Sunday morning despite having paid for the breakfast vouchers at Indigo, and despite the restaurant supposed to open at 6:30 am, it was not open. Desk staff just said “kitchen malfunction”. We had to catch a flight and could not wait the 2-3 hours. This restaurant is tied to the Indigo which I can’t recommend.. that’s a separate review.
Why is it EVERYTIME I stay here, the bartending staff is so rude and terrible? Cut people off at night because they don’t wanna work anymore, then wake up and it’s breakfast time….they act like they can’t see you and you are annoying them by being there. I have NEVER seen restaurant employees act so entitled and rude. Food is great, nighttime atmosphere of people is good. The staff is still terrible 😞 Happy Opening Day 2025! Keep trying to give this place a chance!

I have stopped by a couple times after work the atmosphere is so relaxing, the drinks are on point, and the food is always on ! Yolanda has been my bartender and server and her company is always pleasant. I had the pleasure of meeting the head chef Q to compliment my steak meal

Absolute trash. My wife and I stayed at the hotel, we went down to get dinner and we were completely ignored. Finally, I go stand at the bar to ask if I needed to order at the bar and these two ladies continued to act like I wasn't even there. After 15 minutes of standing at the bar one of the ladies looked at me and told me they will be out to our table to take our order but it would be a while. There were only 4 other people in the bar/restaurant. She had such an attitude and look of disgust. I sat down at the table for another 15 before she walked to the table and dropped menus on our table without saying a word and walked away. ABSOLUTELY TRASH AND UNPROFESSIONAL! I would not recommend this establishment to anybody.

Mel and Jenise are such amazing bartenders! They were welcoming and very in-tune with their customers. They made visiting this restaurant such a great experience! We will definitely be coming back.
