Stopped in to write some emails and taste some white wine before heading home from a biz trip. Chandri and staff was super helpful and taught me.a lot about the wines I tasted which were local and international in that hour I was there , and I am very grateful for that! Chandri even gave me winery suggestions for my upcoming visit to Champagne Fr. I was about to get a cheese platter but had to board my flight . Next time ! for sure ?

I love this place, however, it is been abnormally hot, and normally this is a good place to buy wine, however, I would be very suspect buying any wine from their right now because it is so hot in the airport. All of their wine is likely damaged. What's worse is that I was looking at buying the Harlan estate bottle, and this is likely trashed at this point.

Went to this wine bar at the airport for a glass to relax and a small snack. Sat at the bar and the server Chris was awesome. Dancing, playing great music, super happy and fun. Four more individual women joined me at the bar and Chris let us sample a few other wines. We all needed to leave to board our flights but no one wanted to leave. Great experience. Food was great too. I had the cheese plate and tomato basil soup. Now I'm extra happy and relaxed for my 20 hours of flying ?. I'll most definitely be back and hope Chris will be working.

Awesome staff that is very knowledgeable about the vast selection available, especially harder to find Michigan wines. Pleasant atmosphere, music and overall vibe.

Chris was super friendly and was pretty knowledgeable about his wines. The wine selection is impressive and well curated and I was able to try the delicious local Mawby sparkling white. We also sampled the Tenuta I Collazzi Super Tuscan Blend. It was really tasty as well. The music in rotation is very good. This was a perfect way to kill a few hours while waiting on our connecting flight.

Don't order the chopped salad. I had a very bad experience with the iceberg lettuce. I was sick for 2 full days once I reached my destination. The lettuce was bad. Perhaps they should use a greener lettuce in the chopped. That would be my suggestion to Vino Volo.

If you're flying out of the Detroit Airport (DTW) or have a layover, this Vino Volo location is pretty good. It was busy, so service was a bit slower than I'm used to at a Vino Volo, but I'd still recommend going there as they're consistent with their wine flights (boom: there, they're, and their in one sentence).Like all Vino Volo locations, they have the $2 tasting if you're a member of their rewards program. If you're a Reserve Member, you get a complimentary amuse bouche which happened to have Marcona almonds at this location.Their wine flights are put together to compare and most are usually pretty good. I stick to the reds mostly but have done others too. They also have food if you want to eat, but I usually opt for other airport junk and just come for the wine.If I was flying through/from DTW, I'd totally stop here again. It's near the center of the 1 mile long terminal and close to the express tram escalator.

Looking to kill come time when flying back to London from Detroit and popped into Vino Volvo for a glass of wine and something to nibble. Amazing place, very friendly staff, great choice of drinks and some well paired small plates of food.Quite expensive but when you consider the other option available then this place is worth every penny.Highly recommended oasis from the bustle of DTW.

Stuck on a long layover in Detroit Airport. First walked into Mezze for food. Waitstaff was so rude and inattentive that I walked out. So glad! Because then, across from Gate A 46, I found Vino Volo! Quiet little haven with wonderful wines, delicious fairly priced food, and wait staff who are friendly, attentive, and have made this layover fantastic! I recommend this place highly!

Website says open until 10. Stopped in at 8:20 pm and was told they were no longer serving and would close in 5-6 minutes. I said okay, and mentioned different hours were listed online. He replied “oh, that’s old information…over 3 years old”. During another trip the website listed listed the wrong location in the airport. Vino Volo - travelers need accurate info, please update your info!!

When Delta screvvs you over (and they inevitably will) stop by Gate 45 in the Delta terminal at the Detroit airport and bring back the positivity with a flight of wine and some burrata. The service here is excellent, as is the wine and the food. Michigan wine is trash, but no worries, they have offerings from both domestic and international regions. Yay!
