This is the only gay bar in Detroit that caters to gay black URBAN youth. Fabulous Monday nights are laid back due to the drag shows. Best drinks and music. Avoid the fall out when the club closes; unless you’re into drunken drama.
Love the shows and the staff and entertainers are nice and friendly. Drinks are strong and will knock you on your behind. I can do without the childish petty drama that usually takes place at the end of the night but other than that it's ok
While people who are not from the area may consider this Neighbourhood unsafe, try to do some research first. You rarely hear about the ( Northend) on the news in regards to crime. The area that the Woodward bar resides in have generations of families that resides there. The owner”s and staff are always friendly, food is great and reasonably priced, and the people you meet there will more than likely become life long friends.
