Food was incredibly fresh and fast. Waitress was sweet. Can't do much better for a quick, old school breakfast.
Eggs were exactly to order and customization was welcomed. I grabbed a to go menu for later in the week. Prices were great compared to other places. I'll be back to try the cheese steak. Specials daily.
Coffee could be a little stronger is the only knock, but the cup was constantly refilled.

The coney dogs here are perfection. Steamed buns, tasty chilli, beef franks, and great service. I travel to Detroit for work and the office is on the same block. I plan on stopping here every time I’m in town. I told the office about it as well, so good:

Top notch classic diner
I stopped here because I was at a conference and didn’t want the average slop bowl experience as is evident from the restaurants nearby. My service was very good and my food came out quick and tasted great. I would recommend stopping here if you were in the area!

I had a very disappointing experience at this Coney Island. The older woman working there was rude and treated customers unfairly, especially toward white and Hispanic customers. On top of that, I was overcharged — $25 for 3 coneys, fries, and a drink is unacceptable.
I won’t be coming back, and I can’t recommend this place to anyone. Honestly, a lot of Coney Island spots in Detroit feel the same lately — overpriced and not the cleanest. Time to switch it up and support some of the newer food trucks instead.

Today, I experienced racism with her restaurant. I went to sent and order at the counter, and was immediately instructed to pay for my food. I wasn't offended until I noticed other people around em payijgnforntheor food later. When another black male went to the rest, they threw away his food. The atmosphere does not seem welcoming to people of color.

From 2013 to 2015 I would stop here most mornings before work. Big breakfast and coffee. Great food, great staff, great service, affordable and opened earlier than other downtown restaurants.

We chose this restaurant because it had zero wait, unlike every other breakfast spot in Detroit. Besides our group of three, there were only two other people dining there. Our service could only be described as odd. While our waitress was kind, she seemed to be scatterbrained. Constantly walking away while we were talking to her. Sometimes sitting down next to us in our booth. We could sense an attitude towards the little things, like getting change back from our bill. On to the food, don't ask for the soup of the day, they don't have it. The food was so bland we thought we had COVID. On to the atmosphere, the building needs to be straight up condemned. Holes in the wall, stairs to the bathroom crumbling. Seems like they may have had a bug infestation. In its entirety, the experience was odd, slow, and subpar food. Advice, go ahead and survive the wait time. It's probably worth it.
