There was a sign at the front indicating they were short staffed. Same sign I saw a month ago. The table was sticky and never wiped while we were there. The food was okay. My cheese burger with no malaise, of course came with Mao and missing the cheese. Nice staff, maybe just overworked. I would go somewhere else if you are visiting.
Dexter Pub is the best. I’ve been going there since I was a kid, and I go there with my parents a lot. The food is amazing and Peter is just the nicest guy. It’s the best place in Dexter to get food.
Edit 11/2/24: my husband, son, and I went to the Pub after trick-or-treating on Halloween and the hostess was extremely rude. When she sat us to our seats, she slammed the menus on the table, gave me a dirty look, and said “here you go.” I won’t change...

The food was average. We got the fish and chips, Sunday brunch hippie hash, and kids Mac n cheese. Nothing was spectacular; the kids Mac and cheese was just Kraft. The service was great though despite them saying they were understaffed. The atmosphere felt like a small town pub.
