A must visit, when in the area fresh , high quality food & Service- cozy atmosphere šš·šš¤
My fiancƩ and I were in the area visiting our wedding venue and decided to stop in for dinner. The food and atmosphere were both incredible! We live 2 hours away and are already trying to plan our next trip back.
attended a rehearsal dinner, very good!
Itās so awesome having such a nice restaurant so close to home. We donāt have to go to Mishawaka to have a really nice dinner. One of the reasons I love Woodfire is that itās perfect for a celebratory dinner, or a casual lunch or dinner. The food is 10/10 every time we go. Itās consistently amazing and the chicken Marsala is magical! The desserts are always great and if you want to see the ādessert menuā, they bring out a tray of their actual dessert offerings for the evening. I had the blueberry cobbler cheesecake last night, and it was sooo good. Highly recommend!
Delicious with huge servings
Beautiful restaurant with warm ambiance, excellent food good value nice service stop by!!!
Busy, long qaits.
Our first visit to The Wood Fire Trattoria was wonderful. The restaurant wasn't too busy when we arrived about 5:30 pm. We each ordered one of the specials for the evening and drink. The seafood ravioli was some of the best I have had in ages. The sauce creamy and smooth with perfectly cooked scallops and shrimp over the top. The bourbon soaked walleye with rice pilaf was also very good and a nice portion size. We were pleased with both our meals and plan to return again.
Food was excellent, staff was great.
Do yourself a favor and either go across the street or drive to another town. Over priced and sub par food. You will be here forever and leave wishing you had went to McDonaldās.

I can only give this place one star for the atmosphere and beyond that itās not worth even wasting your time going. Tonight we went with another couple for the first time. Itās smelled great walking in so I had high hopes. Walking to our seats I see a cook on the line eating with his hands from a plate next to where he was working. I get it they need to eat so I let it go. The service moved at a glacial pace. One of the appetizers wasnāt available but again no big deal it happens. We finally get drinks and they tasted like cough syrup. The appetizers finally come and they were ok (which Iām glad since it was the only thing I got to eat). Salads arrive after a while. They must store them in the fridge because the croutons have no crunch and are just rubbery mush. Whatever I didnāt come for a salad. After we had been there for over an hour our food finally comes. The filet and lobster. I dig into the mashed potatoes and they are cold. I move to the vegetables and cold. The lobster was also cold and rubbery. I didnāt even bother with the steak. Every person at the table had an over cooked steak. I sent my whole plate back. If Iām paying these prices I expect it to be warm. The waitress comes back to tell me that they are out of filets. But they could get me something else. We are now an hour and fifteen minutes after getting there. Iām not going to wait for my food to come out after everyone else has finished their meal. Do you think the manager ever came to the table to check on things. If you guessed no you would be correct. But donāt worry they discounted peoples meal because their steaks were overcooked and mine was taken off the bill. And because of our experience I was given a dessert. Mind you even after the discount one persons meal was over 80 dollars. When there are so many other places you can go within a 20-30 minute drive do yourself a favor and make the drive. We prefer supporting local establishments but this one we will not be supporting. They have been around for a long time and Iām not sure what their future looks like when they provide this type of experience.
The food was top notch. I ordered the pot roast, and it was the bomb! Our waitress was very friendly, very attentive, and was very knowledgeable about the menu. Wonderful experience.
Worked as a prep cook and then made it to the brick oven. Cooked the meats as well as made the pizzas. They use the finest ingrediants. Wonderful place to work as well as dine in. Chef Cheryl is amazing has a blessed palette to know what to serve and how to serve it. Her recipes are to die for.
Huge fan of the food here. The customer service is exceptional too. My wife and I love it for a date spot.
One of my absolute favorite restaurants! Great atmosphere, high food quality and a fantastic brick oven pizza.
