This is another great find in downtown Dowagiac. There is so much historic charm and nostalgia inside Caruso's. The soda fountain, candy cases, counter, booths, etc. are museum quality. My favorite treat at Caruso's is the homemade chocolates, especially the ones with nuts. I have also enjoyed lunch there. Julie, the owner, and all the associates provide great service. I come here for lunch typically at least once a week. Lovely sandwiches for a great price. Come for lunch, stay for the house made candy and ice cream! I tend towards the chocolate covered Oreos myself, but do not sleep on the malt balls!

What a lovely find in a small town like Dowagiac. The old fashioned Soda Fountain setting is fantastic. The candy is even better! Locally made chocolate, easter bunnies, candy coins and so many more.
