I made the drive over from Royal Oak specifically to check out La Patagonia, and it did not disappoint. From the moment I walked in, the establishment was sparkling clean, hospitality was top-notch; the owner personally took the time to walk me through the different empanada options on the menu, which made the experience feel truly authentic.

Tried for the first time and I was not disappointed. First off my car smelled so delicious when I picked up my order. I tried the beef, humita, and chicken. They were all so good but I think the beef was my favorite. The chimichurri was amazing. I will be back.

La Patagonia is an authentic local spot serving outstanding and delicious empanadas. The chicken, beef, Caprese, ham and cheese, rotating Americana, and corn empanadas are all great, well-made, and flavorful. The ham and cheese and Americana varieties are particular favorites. The cheese pull is out of this world. Every single flavor is excellent, even reheated. The salsa criolla and all four sauces are superb and recommended. Desserts, including the Alfajor de maizena and a big cookie, are even better. The staff is very friendly, pleasant, and kind, providing great service and suggestions. The owner greets customers and creates a wonderful experience. The entire food selection is impressive and worth getting again, ensuring customers will definitely be returning soon.
