The food tasted excellent, one of the best meals I have ever had. Out party ordered lunch and breakfast, and both were outstanding. I would highly recommend the faccacia bread, it was really authentic. The food was fresh and tasty and definitely made from scratch - my mom said the banana bread tasted as good as her own homemade. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. They easily accommodated my mom in her wheelchair. I would definitely recommend stopping by if your in the area.

Menu and servings were top notch as was the service. Quite small so you may have a wait during peak times. Highly recommend the sunrise bowl and kale salad. One note: think twice before coming with a service animal. They insisted on some sort of certificate that in the 5 years I’ve had a service dog, have never heard of. So we ate outside.
We were in town for a wedding and somehow became repeat customers. All the breads, crusts, and cookies are baked in-house and are AMAZING. The focaccia was fluffy on the inside and perfectly toasted on the outside. It was delightfully matched with a homemade blueberry jam that I wanted to fly home with me. Two days in a row we left with cookies to go. We sat at the counter both days and got an opportunity to chat and joke with the witty staff that was hustling all over the cafe. If only we lived closer!

Today was our first time visiting this little gem in Elk Rapids, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience! From the friendly staff to the absolutely yummy food — this place is 5+ stars! Our server was also the owner, and she was so fun to talk to! Even with a busy restaurant, she made time to chat with us and give us the lowdown on other good places to eat.
We had the breakfast Sammy and smashburger and would totally get those two dishes again! For those who like kale, their kale salad and homemade vinaigrette was SO GOOD! 😋 We also ordered a macaroon and brown butter cookie to go (P.S. We scarfed down the cookie before our check arrived 😂).
We are looking forward to visiting this place again and again and again!
