Chef Chucks is a really cool pizzeria. When I visited recently I ordered a medium pizza with red peppers and sesame/garlic crust. My boyfriend and I ate our pizza on the beach in less than fifteen minutes because it was so delicious. Family run pizzerias are the best because they put their emphasis on the quality not advertising. Chef Chucks has a cozy atmosphere and you can even eat outdoors. Definitely a great pizza spot. They make sub sandwiches too. The pizza slice deals are available during certain hours.

Chef Chuck/Charles has been my family's favorite stop on our yearly trips to Elk Rapids and Traverse City ever since 1996 when they opened. It's hard to describe, but something about the recipe makes the dough and sauce has this subtle sweetness that tastes unlike any other pizza I've tried before anywhere else in the world. That sounds dramatic, I know, but I mean it - it's very unique. You order at the counter, they're reasonable waiting-wise for a pizza place and while there's not a ton of seating, there are plenty of benches nearby and nice picnic spots. My top recommendation for pizza types is the 7 cheese, feta on pizza is genius stuff.

Wasn’t welcomed when I came in, was told 20 min for my order but waited longer, the pizzas were premade on rack and no other customers, I would go elsewhere unless you’re looking to wait longer than 30 min for a walk in order.

Amazing food! The chef is very generous. Everything right from Pizza, sandwiches and salad tastes mind blowing. They make everything fresh right infront of you. Highly recommended.

I was in town for my daughter’s softball game and just planned on grabbing a sandwich from Subway. Little did I know that their Subways were both permanately closed. I then noticed a Market Street Deli. Well, that too was closed but what a blessing as I then found Chuck’s Pizza. I was greeted with not only super friendly staff, I was introduced to their gyro sandwich! Wow, wow, wow. Their homemade pesto that goes on this sandwich is amazing!
I will make it a point to swing into Chuck’s next time I'm traveling through just for their sandwich and friendly service!!
