Chef Chucks is a really cool pizzeria. When I visited recently I ordered a medium pizza with red peppers and sesame/garlic crust. My boyfriend and I ate our pizza on the beach in less than fifteen minutes because it was so delicious. Family run pizzerias are the best because they put their emphasis on the quality not advertising. Chef Chucks has a cozy atmosphere and you can even eat outdoors. Definitely a great pizza spot. Chef Chuck/Charles has been my family's favorite stop on our yearly trips to Elk Rapids and Traverse City ever since 1996 when they opened. It's hard to describe, but something about the recipe makes the dough and sauce has this subtle sweetness that tastes unlike any other pizza I've tried before anywhere else in the world.
