Joe's Friendly Tavern Reviews
We stopped at friendly joes with too high expectations with it having relatively good reviews and what seemed to be plenty of food variety options with having our kids with us. But sadly we left very disappointed. The staff and environment were great. the food was that comparable to cafeteria food, yet the prices reflected that of a much better quality meal. Paying $20+ for a small salad and adding grilled chicken you would expect more than what appeared to be frozen bagged chicken...read full review
Stopped in for dinner. Menu prices are very high. $15.50 for a 1/3 pound cheeseburger only. No chips no fries ($6.00) additional. The cheeseburger was terrible. Tasteless and very greasy. My wife’s burger was partially burnt. When she told the server the response was “sorry about that”. We will never darken the doors of Joe’s Friendly Tavern again.
Went there for smelt, they were out, I understand that smelt is hard to come by, understandable. My mother-in-law wanted a Maurice salad, waitress stated we don’t have that. Joe's Friendly Tavern offers a pleasant neighborhood bar atmosphere with a variety of food and drinks. The burger and root beer remain particularly popular, and the service is quick and friendly. The patio area, which is dog-friendly, has a small version of the dining room menu but includes options like the smoked bratwurst and fried buffalo cauliflower. Guests can also enjoy the autumn special of honey apple grilled cheese and the hot apple cider. The restaurant now has plenty of parking available in front, making access easier for visitors. However, parking can still be challenging when it's busy, and the restaurant may only have booths and tables with chairs for seating. The food was good and prices were reasonable. The cherry hot sauce on chicken was amazing.
