We enjoyed our meal here after a day at the dunes. We were looking for good burger options in the area and decided to eat here. Service was very good and friendly. The food was nice as well. Kids and adults all cleaned their plates. This was a close stop to the dune climb because we didn't want to drive far to eat. I recommend Joe's place if you want a variety of classic American fare type food. It was family friendly and prices were comparable to the area.

We stopped by Joe’s Friendly Tavern after visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes, and it was the perfect place to relax and grab a meal. Our group of 10 was seated comfortably, and the waitress was super friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was cozy and warm, exactly what you want after a day of exploring.

We ordered the Caesar salad and burgers, and everything was tasty and delicious. Definitely a great spot to stop for good food and friendly service. I highly recommend...

This place reminds me of the taverns in northern Wisconsin my family went to. The wooden bar, wood paneled walls and gas fireplace all added to the ambiance. The food was delicious. We had the cheeseburger and fries and prime rib sandwich and they didn’t disappoint. I’d definitely go there again.
