Great place to grab food and go! Then line may look long but they go through it really fast. You can also order your food over the phone. They have 20oz bottles and chips. They also cookies, ice cream, and rice crispy treats. Would recommend going here because of the food!

My husband & I were looking for a bite to eat before we went on a hike near Empire. We had no idea there was an Asparagus Festival going on. Empire was packed! We stumbled upon the Shipwreck Cafe. We both got their Fitzgerald sandwiches & they were hands-down some of the best sandwiches we've ever had! We loved the bread! Despite the extra business with a lot of customers, the customer service was great. I highly recommend this place. They have ample outdoor seating...

April 13, 2026, I ordered the Fitzgerald on the pretzel bun. Such amazing taste. Fully loaded, the peanut butter cookie and the Michigan Cherry chips made for a great lunch on the Loon Lake pier.
