Fabulous burgers and chili fries. Bates Burgers are the best. I normally go to their 5 mile location but was around the 9 mile location so we stopped in. The location did not disappoint from the counter service to the burgers and chili fries themselves you will not go wrong. Better than Brays and others in this category..
They have a wide variety of menu items to choose from and do serve breakfast. Shakes are also offered.

Bates is a hamburger institution with two locations located here in Livonia, Michigan. I ate at the counter while on the way home from shopping.

I finally made it over to Bates Hamburgers at Middlebelt and 9 Mile in Farmington Hills after hearing about it from a lot of people—and it absolutely lived up to the hype.
I ordered a hamburger, hot dog, and fries, and everything was spot-on. The burger had that classic, no-frills flavor that just hits right, the hot dog was perfectly done, and the fries were fresh and delicious. You can tell this place has been doing...
