I visited the newly reopened restaurant last evening. The decor was less opulent and I did miss the fish tank.
The menu was reduced in size but adequate . I ordered the mushrooms with beef entree and was very happy with the quality and portion size. Over-all I'd say the newly rebuilt New Mandarin Garden is the same dependable place it's always been. I'll go back for sure and expect that the community will support them as always

Great chinese/asian place. Nice selection of appetizers, entrées with a twist. Very nice ambiance, elevated bar with best bar service and drinks anywhere in this part of Oakland county. What makes it even more special for this area, is personable wait staff, bar service is better than at any Aria, Aurora, Vive and especially Prime 29. Sit at the bar, kibitz with the owners, eat asian food with elevated twist! Linger, have fun! If you are a greasy lo-main lover- it is not...

Last night we were served reheated slender egg rolls. We asked for fresh egg rolls and were served slender rolls without so much as a bean sprout inside. The filling was totally cabbage but freshly made.
Our dinners were good but not the exceptional quality we once enjoyed at this establishment.
