“I stopped by Farmington Brewing shortly before they closed for the evening, but I still had a good time. The bartenders were friendly and welcoming, and the space was warm and inviting. As usual, I tried a flight of beers, and I found them to be of good quality. The mango jalapeño ale was especially interesting. I had some great conversation with the staff during this visit, and it really felt like a nice place. I’d definitely visit again, hopefully with more time.“

“My husband and I decided early on that food was going to be the most important part of our wedding day. We also knew that we wanted it to be 100% vegan. As big fans of Chive Kitchen when they had the restaurant in Farmington, we knew they could put together a fantastic menu for us. We hired Chive for food, bar service, and month-of consult and weekend coordinator. Suzy and team helped create an incredible evening that we will never forget.

After our first meeting with Suzy, we knew we were in good hands. As two guys who had never given a lot of thought to what our “dream” wedding would look like, she took our vague ideas and turned them into reality. We had a general idea of what type of venue we wanted, and her first suggestion was absolutely perfect. The bulk of the planning was left to us, but Suzy was always available to bounce ideas, provide advice, and steer us in the right direction.

Suzy’s creative vision, intuition, and experience are unmatched. Everything from a unique room layout and schedule of events to small details with table decor and custom menu items were executed flawlessly. Her team handled all of the set-up and tear-down, leaving us to just enjoy the day with our families. The decor was so thoughtful, warm, and just beautiful - more than we could ever try to articulate.

The curated vegan food, cocktails, and mocktails were absolutely delicious, and we received so many compliments from guests - even those who are leery of the “V” word. Bruschetta, buffalo bites, and fried artichoke appetizers were immediately devoured. Dinner was Caesar salad, braised cabbage, mashed potatoes, portobello steaks, and mostaccioli. All of it was so tasty (the BEST mushroom I’ve ever had) and we were reminded of all our wonderful dates at Chive Kitchen. We especially loved the custom cocktail themed after our chihuahua. And of course the cupcakes (pumpkin spice and chocolate) were a HUGE hit. Suzy was able to accommodate all of our guests' food allergies with ease.

On top of everything else, it meant a lot to us to work with a woman owned small business and fervent LGBTQ+ ally. Working with Suzy and her team was a dream. They did all the heavy lifting and we were able to truly enjoy and soak up the incredible evening that was put together for us. Chive was responsible for the most important part of our wedding which was coming together with family and friends to share a delicious meal. We will cherish the memories forever. “Absolutely delicious! We were thrilled to find this restaurant (we hosted a student from Argentina and for sure he would have agreed this is easily deserving of 5 stars!). We live in Troy, but we have family in Northville and we now stop by every time we are in the area so we can bring home a dozen of these wonderful empanadas. “Went to Longhorns for my 50th birthday dinner last night. I had a very large party (27). We basically took over the restaurant. Bulk of people were seated together. We were just in the way, well me mostly. All of the staff were great. But I need to thank the waite staff for their amazing service that they provided. Secondly, I would like to give great appreciation to the hostesses(awesome) who sometimes catch it from the hangry's! Last the manager was amazing. You know Longhorns get busy on the weekend and inspite of that he did his best to accommodate us. So Westland Longhorns from the bottom of my heart I want to thank you for an amazing experience. “Have been living in the area for a few years and it is always hopping every time I drive by. Decided to stop there yesterday with my husband. They had an overwhelming selection to choose from. Almost too many options my husband said. They had flurries, ice cream, shakes, frozen yogurt, frozen drinks, frozen coffee, and even physical ice cream packages. They had so many flavors as well. I personally loved how many options they had. I got the frozen yogurt with salted caramel and my husband got strawberry shortcake flurry. There was actual strawberry shortcake in the flurry! They came quickly and the proportions were great. I can see why where are always busy. My hubby now says we should go there every Sunday. 😂 I recommend! You will never run out of things to try!“
