Was looking forward to having a girls dinner here. We have never felt more rushed or unwelcome in a restaurant. Our bread, appetizers, and entrees all came out in 20 minutes flat and they started reaching around us to clean up 40 minutes before closing.

Service very slow on all levels. Food also not very good. Chicken Francese used to be excellent at this restaurant, this evening salty and barely warm. I was told by waitress that they were short of help. Unfortnately, you pay money for this?????? Won't return!

Literally stumbled upon this place during a romantic evening stroll with my girlfriend ?! Shared a bottle of wine from South Africa. We had already eaten dinner but there were items on the menu that smelled and looked so appetizing! We will be back very very soon!
Parking: Very accessible parking, lot right behind the restaurant.

A really excellent experience. Great atmosphere on the patio. Friendly staff. The food was perfectly prepared. The duck and the accompaniments were tasty and meaningfully prepared. Tasted like apricot in my lentil and couscous. Probably the best meal I’ve had in Ferndale. Very reasonably priced. Ample portions. Looking forward to my next time here.

My wife and I went for dinner with another couple on a Saturday evening. The staff here are very nice and the food was delicious. The owner was very friendly as well and made it a point to check with people dining there to make sure everything was good. I didn’t hear a single person have anything negative to say. We had the Arancini and Calamari with Artichoke appetizers and those were good. My wife and I had the lamb chops and scallops and they were excellent. We will be back again.The bill was a little over a hundred dollars for the food and two glasses of wine. There is parking on the street in front of the restaurant and also a large parking lot behind the restaurant that is $1 per hour.

My husband and I stumbled into Assaggi on a Friday night a couple of years ago and it has become our favorite spot for a romantic dinner in metro Detroit. The food is fabulous, the staff are lovely and attentive, and even though we only go a few times a year, the owners, George and Josie remember us and chat with us for a few minutes every time we visit. We have yet to have a less than perfect experience at Assaggi. I can’t recommend it enough!
You know the type of place that you can’t recommend enough? The type of place where you enter as a stranger only once, and from then on out you’re family? That’s Assaggi. Phenomenal food with excellent service and atmosphere every time. George, Josie, and staff hold themselves to the highest standard of hospitality and we love going back to see them. Do yourself a favor and try it out!

Very clean first time I went abs it was great the food was awesome. I had a steak and told them to make my steak medium rare well done confusing right. Guess what the cooked delivered the steak was perfect it was pink but not to pink and I loved it. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because my dessert was meh but everything else was awesome. Highly recommend

The food, service, ambiance- everything was incredible! We were beyond pleased with everything from the moment we walked in. we did not have reservations on a Saturday evening that was very busy and still were able to be seated within 10 minutes of walking through the door. our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable and we were happy with everything from our appetizer to Desert and post dinner cocktail. we cannot wait to come back oh, this is definitely in our top three Italian restaurants in Metro Detroit
