Decent but don’t know if we’d come back again. Several items we ordered were just missing something, including the drinks. Not very memorable and for the price, would likely go elsewhere.

Pound for pound the best restaurant I have been to in the greater metro Detroit area! I had my valentine's day dinner here and it blew my expectations out of the water. First, our server Katie was fantastic, she knew everything on the menu and guided us in every correct direction when we were torn between our options. We started with the bread, skate cheeks, and beef tartare. The bread had two wonderful butters (sumac & chive)... the sumac butter was out of this world. The skate cheeks had a wonderful dusting of seasoning on them and the tartar sauce was amazing... not overly pungent. The beef tartare was super high quality and I loved the creme fraiche to balance the steak. For our entrees, we had the lamb burger and short rib. The lamb burger had a rich onion jam and the burger was still juicy even though it was order medium well. The short ribs were to die for and the trumpet mushroom was cooked to perfection. For dessert we had the orange ice cream/sorbet, as someone who is not a dessert person this blew my mind. I can keep going on and on... but this restaurant truly should be on anyone's radar who is looking for a great restaurant in the Detroit area... I will be recommending to everyone

We had high expectations for Coeur but left slightly disappointed. Nothing was terrible. Nothing was memorable. That was the problem. We started with drinks. The cocktail menu was good (including non-alcoholic), but they only have three beers and one is Miller and one is Modelo so nothing special. We then ordered the bread which cost $7. It comes with two butters-one was good, the other was a miss. The bread itself was just sourdough. If you are going to charge for bread, it should be something special-not something you can easily buy at any local bakery. We then had the delicata squash and the skate which was served like fish & chips. Both were fine, but neither were excellent and the fish was overcooked. For our entrees we ordered the steak frites and the Icelandic cod. The steak was flavorful but slightly tough. The cod was a very small portion and was served with corona beans in a tomato-based sauce. The combination didn't work well but the fish was cooked perfectly. Overall everything was fine, but we thought it was over-priced compared to many of the other newer restaurants which have opened in the Detroit area during the past few years. Our meal was about $100/person including tip. Coeur can't compare to many of the restaurants downtown, but we are glad we tried it.

This place was so good! The food and service were amazing. From the hostess to the waitstaff, everyone was so accommodating. They even offer you a purse hook for your bag, and you will never run out of water because everyone there was so attentive. We started with cocktails and the fresh bread then ordered the scallops and gnocchi for dinner. Definitely save room for dessert because the Madelines were amazing!

Did the coursed tasting meal and was given amazing food and amazing service. Katie was very knowledgable and answered all our questions. The staff here are insanely awesome and it seems every server reads the reservation notes as a server who was not Katie (Regretfully forgot her name but she had long black hair and I believe her name started with an M, she was amazing as well) mentioned something I'd put in the notes, just amazing attention to detail and hospitality overall! Was a splendid Valentines day option. Will absolutely be back!

Cute lil plates! Adorable drinks! Attentive service! Expensive... but takes food from beyond something to ingest and turns it into an experience. And really, not that expensive for what it is (we paid about 240$ plus tip for tasting menu for 2 with non alcoholic drinks). We came here to celebrate an anniversary (reservation made in advance, $20 hold put on card) and they accommodated my vegan diet and my husband's omnivorous one swimmingly. So yes, they can make vegan food! Just please let them know when you make that rsvp. Each plate and drink was beautifully presented and introduced, quickly whisked away when we finished. They brought out fresh silverware for each course too. Our waiter, Hunter was charming. The mixologist who brought us our drinks was very knowledgeable and friendly too. Wish I'd caught their name! At the end of the meal they surprised us with printouts of our menus and all the staff signed one to commemorate our special day. Restrooms are single occupancy, gender neutral, and clean. Water is flat or sparkling, your choice. And it never ran out, which says a lot because I drink a lot of water! These folks really pay attention. My favorite dish was the mushroom gnocchi, the gnocchi absolutely melted. My husband called them "little pillows". My second favorite was the sorbet, I'm a sucker for citrus and it was definitely some high quality grapefruit up in there! The cauliflower was perfectly cooked, also melty with the crunch of the fried outer layer balancing it out. And I'm usually not a leek fan, but the way the leek was roasted... superb! Time commitment was under 2 hours, but we were the only ones in the restaurant for the first hour. I imagine it could take longer once things get busy. (Call us old fogies if you want, we rsvpd for 5 pm) I definitely can see returning for special occasions, it was so much fun! Thanks coeur!

We came here for a girls night/NYE celebration and were absolutely blown away! The interior is intimate; I loved the way you could see the chefs working and how cozy the space felt. Our server was so incredibly sweet and made awesome recommendations. She started us off with amazing bread and complimentary mocktails for our celebration, this was so nice of them! I do wish the bread was warm, but the dough is made in house and was so perfectly fluffy. We then had the potato croquettes which were very yummy. For entrees, we split the cod, squash, and lamb burger. The squash was gorgeously plated and such a pretty dish. The flavors of it were incredible as well, but I don't know if it would have been filling as an entree on its own. It made for a great shareable for us. The cod was incredible, and lastly the lamb burger was absolutely divine. We ended off with the madeleines - I'd never had these before and they were so good!! They were warm and topped with powdered sugar, but the best part may have been the in house sauce that came with them. It was like a salted caramel Nutella- I still dream about it! Can't wait to come back here again!

I recently went on a date at Coeur and we each had the 5-course meal with wine pairings. Going into it I was somewhat anxious to commit to such an extravagant order with no knowing of what we’d receive. Each dish was delightful, visually appealing, and the mystery added a degree of excitement to the meal. The sommelier Sean stopped by before each course with a new glass of wine, and gave a thorough presentation on the wines origin, grapes, tasting notes, and why it will pair well with the next course. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly as well. We had an amazing time and cannot wait for our next date at Coeur.

Had an amazing experience doing a 5 course tasting. They were extremely accommodating for my food allergies and consulted with the chef to make sure I'd be able to eat everything on the menu, since we were not able to preview the menu in advance. All of the courses were full of flavor, color and texture. We will certainly be back for more.
