The last time I ate there I became sick. The food was NOT GOOD and the cook was out back smoking when I got there and had to WAIT for him to finish. I wish I could give less than one star.

I really wanted to like this place but it’s just very low quality food. I waited 20 mins for my carry out to get home and have food that wasn’t hot and tasted like it came out of a microwave. Never again

MOST TASTY FOOD! Wow, the chicken will mushtooms is excellent. My entire office of the most pickiest people loved, absolutely loved the food excellent and well seasoned, juicest chicken ever

Just don’t go. Would give zero stars if I could. The place felt dirty. Person assembling food kept walking around touching things and then handling food without washing hands. He also got in an argument with the (I think) Grub Hub delivery person right next to us. I don’t think any of the food is fresh. He heated up the chicken on the grill before putting it in our sandwiches, but it still wasn’t hot. Took a few bites of just the chicken and a taste of the hummus, it tasted like it had been sitting around, not fresh. When our food was bagged to go we were told we couldn’t pay yet because someone else had to ring us up, I didn’t even see or hear anyone else in the place. We left cash. Wish we had left before ordering when he was arguing with the other person.

Amazing food that is very healthy

I figured I'd give this place a shot despite the bad reviews. Restaurant is nearby so I placed a carry out order on grubhub. 2 minutes later I got a notification that they had canceled my order, no call or reason given. Now I have to wait 5-10 business days to get my money back. I guess I'll continue to order from the Royal Oak location since the people who work there at least seem competent

This place is disgusting inside, how did it pass any inspections?

Such mediocre food with terrible customer service to boot. I don't know why anyone would eat here when Anita's Kitchen is practically next door and has far better food, prices, service, and ambiance.

Ordered through GrubHub. Food was overall good, though the chicken shawarma was a little dry. The 4 stars is because they don't give you any pita when you order garlic paste/sauce. And there isn't any option on GrubHub to order a side of Pita. So I ended up just saving it for the next day and getting my own pita.

Bamya, an Egyptian dish, featuring lamb, is perhaps my favorite entree here. I also love the shish towook, … And the hummus and tabouli are nice appetizers as well as the grape leaves. All entrées are portioned quite generously (I have a few examples and photos posted here). One entrée is enough to feed two people and you might still have leftovers… If I buy one for myself I've got lunch for two days. I like it here and I've always had good, friendly service. I realize some locals like my self love and miss the old China Ruby, which La Feast replaced. I could see where one negative review admitted they actually never tried the food here. I wish people would give this place a chance. It may not be a Ruby but La Feast Grill is a little gem in downtown Ferndale.

Food was good and the staff seemed quite professional. They may have taken some of the early feedback to heart on that front. The facility itself definitely needs work though. It hasn't been updated from what I can see. I understand that not every restaurant is going to update/renovate and that's okay. It doesn't have to be the Taj Mahal but a bit of paint and some extra lighting, especially downstairs, would go a long way. On that note, use the bathroom somewhere else. Theirs is in a very creepy basement. And please put some soap in the ladies room. I always have hand sanitizer in my car but I expect to be able to wash my hands in a restaurant.

First off if it were possible to give ZERO Stars I would.

Some of the yummiest falafels I've had in Michigan! And we were so grateful you were open on Christmas

Tried this place shortly after they opened. Staff seemed very confused and the waitress who took our order seemed to be getting scolded by the owners at one point (?) found it odd that there was no ice for drinks at all - and the water they served was warm. My whole experience was a mess. Really miss China Ruby that used to be the establishment here...don't plan on returning anytime soon. Plenty of other restaurants in the area that are cleaner and better to get good Middle Eastern fare.

My first order of falafel and shawarma sandwiches were good but in one he of taking them to my mother the pitas bread was soggy I figured mywaited to long to eat went to days later again to take health food to my mom at a nursing home, ordered shawarma chicken sauteed lamb w/rice potassium drink. While waiting I asked for a cup of coffee they seemed confused oh with your carry out I like no while waiting we have no coffee this was at 5pm sat. Previously had asked for hot tea while waiting they seemed reluctant to make it. Also when I got there I had called my order in upon coming in they were cooking I looked at guy behind counter then stuck my head in to look at the cook who became short w/me "be with you in min." Then while fixing my drink he held a piece of beer up and asked if I wanted beer in it can't remember if he had gloves on I dont think so. Well the sauteed lamb was so tough my 88yr old mother could only eat the mushrooms,$15.99 waste the dog got the rest I have never eaten lamb that tough.
