“Some of the most amazing food we’ve ever eaten“

“Two nights ago , my wife and I dined at Al Shallal, a Lebanese family owned and operated restaurant. We were warmly greeted by hostess/server Nourhan and offered menus. My wife ordered an absolutely delicious falafel plate that was accompanied by a marvelous tahini sauce and rice. I chose the perfectly spiced and prepared mixed grill (beef kabob, chicken tawook and beef kafta served with a pungent garlic sauce and rice. Our order included, as a prelude, a choice of salad or soup. We opted for the homemade (all items we ordered were made from scratch) chicken lemon soup: shredded chicken, and rice in a deeply flavorful lemony chicken broth (yum). Our servings were generously portioned and absolutely scrumptious. Following the meal, we ordered homemade, once again, baklava and a small pot of a cardamom infused Lebanese coffee. Food heaven. Nourhan was an absolutely wonderful server (daughter of the owners who were the chefs). We have dined at many Lebanese, Iraqi and Iranian restaurants. Al Shallal, in Dearborn Heights , Michigan ranks at the very top for quality, price, taste, presentation, authenticity and service. Thank you Nourhan and family.“

“Favorite place to go for shawarma, cream chop, or any Mediterranean food. Pricing is fair, quality is high, food is fresh, restaurant is always clean, and best of all the Al Kabob family. Every time I visit it feels like home, always accommodating and kind. Mom's baklava is bomb, the old guy always tearing it up on the shawarma, and Hous(hope spelling is right) is making sure everything is there and going above expectations. “Here at Byblos for the second time. Byblos serves authentic Lebanese food. Let me begin by saying that the owner is such an awesome guy. I came to the establishment on Sunday when they are actually closed and they still served me a wonderful beef sandwhich. The beef is seasoned very well and it is amazing. So amazing, I had to come back for more. On my second visit, they exceed all expectations with a beautiful chicken and rice platter with salad, hummus, and pita bread. I have had a lot of Mediterranean dishes and Persian dishes in my lifetime to say that Byblos by far has the best hummus I have ever had. The chicken and rice are such a healthy and delicious combination that is not heavy. Many other establishments use too much oil that it can feel too much. Honestly, the portions delivered are enormous. I am having trouble finishing it. Not one aspect is not overflowing. May God bless your restaurant!“

“It was really nice today to go inside of Fadel Meat and Chicken Market aka “Tabliye Meat and Chicken Market” for the first time. I saw this place on my way to work many times and always wanted to try it and today was the day. Upon entering this beautiful establishment, I was greeted by Mr. Abbas who informed me that meat is for sale on Tuesdays. I did see, however, that they had kitchenware for sale, which is incredible because that is exactly what I needed. I ended up getting a great deal on some Styrofoam cups that I need for my vegetable garden. I plan on starting some seedlings in these Styrofoam cups, and then moving them into a larger container once the roots are developed. My day is a lot better because of this incredible market. I highly recommend this to anyone in the area in need of fresh Halal meat or disposable kitchenware. The store was very clean, well lit and friendly. The staff was informative, helpful, and made me feel at home.“
