I visited yesterday for the first time and had the Ultimate Shrimp and Grits and fried green tomatoes. Absolutely delicious food, spicy without being overwhelming, and prompt service that allowed us to get back to work within the lunch hour. The service was wonderful- we were seated immediately, the staff was friendly and funny, and fast! The music was upbeat, without being a distraction or drowning our private conversation at the table, but I also couldn’t hear other...
The service was great. We order the shrimp and grits, pancakes, 3 orders lamb chops, egg rolls, surf and turf, and plenty of drinks. I would not recommend the lamb chops. They only cook them one way and they were tough. But I ask to taste another customer catfish ( don’t judge me) but let just say I live in Washington DC and I want to go back there right now just for the catfish.
I love love love the head girl there. One time I lost my keys she helped me search the restaruant top to bottom and my keys ended up being in my car :/ I was so distraught after it was over she could tell and gave me the biggest hug ever. On my birthday the older woman sang to me. I felt so special. I love this place best southern style restaurant in the city! The food is always 10/10
