Hemmingway breakfast (cocktail of the moment- rum, lime, apricot jam)- 5/5, delicious, refreshing tart and sweet.
NA Expresso martini 3.5/5- tastes like straight coffee missing something to make it more interesting.
Overall, great experience. Loved the late night deals (offered 9p-close). Would definitely return when I visit.

Really soured by establishment's decision to charge mandatory tip but not have the staff treat us any special.
They are just bringing out the drinks, there is no small talk, no extra welcoming effort.

The drinks here are actually quite amazing though pretty pricey. The deduction of two stars is for adding a credit card charge at a bar on top of already pricey drinks. That is ridiculous.
6-7 update. They now also add 20% tip automatically even if it's just for two people. That is absolute stupidity that's not how tipping works. Another place like the Oakland room where I'm going to decide if I ever want to come back again. Drinks are good but that's a disgusting culture.

Service was outstanding! Drinks were delish with the exception of the Syndicate old fashioned. It had a great presentation but not a great taste. This is a nice place, but just be aware the vegan options aren't what they seem. It looks like you can make your own vegan burger and flatbread. They have Impossible burgers, vegan cheese, and even vegan mayo. However, neither the hamburger buns nor the flatbread are vegan. Yes, that's stupid. But whatever. At least the waitstaff told us on our second visit. The menus are very misleading. Someone could have gotten sick. This seems like a really easy fix as you have to go out of your way to find breads that aren't vegan. Hopefully management will wise up and we'll be happy to come back.

My sister and I went out for drinks last night and had an amazing time. Our server Shane provided excellent service. They took the extra time along with the bartender to double check that the ingredients of a caesar salad type cocktail (forget the name but was unique and delish!) did not contain gluten. As someone with celiac, this was exceptional service and really showed they cared. Will come back again soon!!

First time to Syndicate and absolutely loved it. Chill and welcoming atmosphere. Delicious hand crafted cocktails and yummy appetizers. Cool indoor area but also we found out about the outside patio, pool table and extra seating. We will definitely be back and a special shout out to Janelle, the bar manager, who made our tasty cocktails and showed us around the building. Great space. Can’t wait to come back!
First time visit, we sat at the bar which I always think is the best experience. My girlfriend had a very particular drink in mind and the bartender was pretty excited about making it. It was great to see someone excited about something. The seasonal menu was great, the Chicken Roulade was excellent. We split that and ordered, Whey Carrots, Mashed Potatoes along with the Margherita Flatbread. The atmosphere was great and watching them make the cocktails was fun. The only thing I would chose to improve was the music, it was a kind of techno, not a complete deal breaker but mix it up...:) We went to the backroom and hung out for a bit with a cocktail, next time we may spend a little more time back there and play some pool. Next summer this is on the list to hang out on the patio for sure. Nicely done Syndicate...

This is really a pretty cool place. Loved that you have a restaurant/bar up front and a chill lounge in the back.
Food was all great, burger perfectly cooked, but what was really amazing was the carrots, so good.
So we ended up going on Halloween and they were having a Beetlejuice costume contest, but it was all good because they had drinks just for the night. They were well crafted and outstanding.

My wife and I were very excited to finally give syndicate a try. The service was wonderful and the drinks were solid.
The food looked really good on the menu, but my what a bummer. The French onion soup was pretty terrible. Brussel sprouts sprouts were flavorless with an oil sauce that brought nothing but heat. The French fries were ok? And chicken entree was also alright. The warm pears were a disappointment and the ravioli was probably the best dish, but honestly nothing to write home about.
It's not a bad place to go or anything, but for the price point you would assume this would be something a bit better than just ok. Definitely won't be going back sadly.

Review on cocktail class only: This place has been on my list for a while and I was so pleased I was able to join my friends for a private event - their signature cocktail making classes. The restaurant was closed for the event and no food available.
We received hands on training on how to create 3 of their most popular drinks - violet stratosphere, the electron, and syndicate old-fashioned. We were each set up with our own cocktail set, which we took home, while Janelle and Leah showed us how to make properly shake/airate, rim, and use an icestamp. The class was well organized with all materials prepped beforehand. I enjoyed the tips for customization, take home recipe card, and information about products that make a beautiful and fun cocktail.
My personal favorite was the electron, it was balanced, Smokey and I enjoyed the sweet/savory rim. By the time we finished up our group was lively (read: tipsy). The old fashioned came with a pretzel snack but eating beforehand should be highly encouraged. There’s plans for another cocktail (and mocktail) class coming up that I plan to check out.
