“Holy smokes. We ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and beef kafta dinner and, my god, was it delicious. The marinade man. It's just...perfect. The chicken practically melts in your mouth and the beef was smokey and tender. My husband usually doesn't like turshi but was all about it today. I have no idea why I sat so long on this place having lived and work right by here for so long, but I sure as hell plan to become a regular. Hot diggity dog. 10/10 recommend.“

“I can't believe I never tried this place before today (especially cuz it's right down the road from our favorite ice cream place). The small antipasto salad was HUGE, fresh, and loaded with all the good stuff. They make their own dressing(which is delicious), and give you a generous portion of their homemade garlic bread with it. The cheesy bread was perfect, too. “Ferlito's is my absolute favorite Italian Restaurant. Great service, Great food, Great atmosphere. On this visit, I had Lasagna (best I've ever had). My wife and son shared the Chicken Piccata (who are we kidding, he ate the entire dish). The quality and flavor of the food was excellent as usual. Andrew, our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. The ambiance is that of a small, romantic Italian Bistro. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough.“

“First of all, we have gone to the original Green lantern on 12 and John R for the last over 50 years. Their pizza is the best so when the one opened up on 13 and Ryan, I was thrilled and I think their pizza is very good. Also, I have never gotten a bad pizza only one time was the Italian sub, a little dark and hard but I never complained we order from 13 and mound often like probably once a week and this time I ordered with one of their coupons and Was told I could not use it twicecould not use. I explained to them I just did it last week with the same type of order both totaling around $70 and I always leave a tip for them except this time often we have our pizzas delivered but the last two times we picked up. It struck me funny That they were OK last week and the girl actually didn’t know if she could but she asked the managing person that night and they said sure now mind you they don’t ask for the coupon so I could have used it the very next day again so I don’t get their logic For two dollars they are giving up anywhere from $40-$70 orders from me in granite. it’s not so much the two dollars at all. It was just the principle of it to give up those orders every week for two dollars putting a review on. So I will return to the 12 mile and John our store from here on, but I still love their pizza. You can tell not only does the manager but the employees as well all care about each guest there matters. We did the simulator rental for an hour which they gratiously squeezed us in a slot last minute to ensure a great time for our son! Food was good and service was great! “I was recently vacationing on Lake Huron and a local asked me if I’d been to Amar Pizza and suggested we stop there on our way home. I was quite intrigued that I was being recommended a place to try that was over 2 hours away from where we were, but stopped we did, and damn I’m so glad we did!

First, how on Earth does this place have an average rating of a 4? The low ratings must be from a long time ago because this place runs extremely well and they have mastered their unique pizza. This place is one to go to and one to tell all your friends about.

We were planning on ordering 2 small deep dish pizzas- a Naga and a Tandoori, but we ended up ordering a large and they were willing to split the pizza in half- which was a cost savings and super nice of them, for the same amount of pizza.

The cashier was super welcoming and friendly and walked us through the menu and I thought her customer service was top notch. We ordered our pizza and were quoted 20 minutes, and it was ready in a little less time than that. The pizza was made fresh and boiling hot from the oven.

Both pizzas belong in their own category of food. They are pizza but they also taste like something else. The components were well mastered- the crust was crispy and fluffy, and tasted a bit like a light focaccia. The flavors were well balanced- not too greasy or spicy or hot- really just perfect. I love the way they chop red onions, it really allows you to get the full onion flavor which I love.

The interior was modest but clean. There was bulletproof glass like other reviewers mentioned. I’m not from the area but the neighborhood seemed safe, just not a white area, and I would have eaten inside if I didn’t have dogs waiting in the car.

They have an extensive of typical and more unique beverages. I couldn’t resist trying the Mango Pepsi, which was delicious.

The prices were incredibly reasonable- I spent $40 that covered four meals. And the pizza was really good reheated too. They charge a 4% fee to pay with a credit card.

I marked this as a place to definitely return next time Im in the area. Thanks Amar Pizza for a great experience!

Parking: There was plenty of paid street parking when we visited around noon on a Thursday. The fee was 25 cents for 15 minutes. We waited about 20 minutes for our pizza after ordering so 30 minutes should cover you if you are taking it to go!“
