“Buddy's pizza is definitely at the top of Detroit style pizza. It's not overly thick and has great flavor throughout. The toppings are fresh and they let you do half and half in their large ones. The special seasoned sauce really seals the deal on the pizza and is free to add as a substitute for their original sauce. The wings were okay, but really small for the price. Probably wouldn't order those again. OThe waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and definitely helped us make informed decisions about the pizza. I would definitely recommend Buddy's and will eat there again.“

“I DD sometimes on the weekend when looking to make a couple of extra bucks after my weekly 9-5 and had a pie from here I had to deliver. I have to say it was honesty one of the best smelling pizzas I had ever smelled before.... That wonderful aroma lingered on in my vehicle for two whole days! I finally convinced the BF to come with me and grab a pizza. Inside the pizza joint, it's a little small. A couple of basic booths to eat pizza quickly on the fly. The owner Nick was awesome though. He's been in the pizza business since 1986 and has multiple locations in Canada. I believe it was called Naples Pizza. He has another location opening soon on 14 mile and Hayes in the next couple of weeks. If you like pepperoni, his version is shredded. That way it's all nice and crispy, meat in every bite but you don't get a pizza swimming in orange pools of grease...Our pizza had great flavor, texture, a great pull on the crust that you rip with your teeth. We loved it, it was great and Nick's story was even better. Super personable... He gave us our pizza for free that night as we sat down and dived in. He was excited to hear or thoughts on it and excited to hear we would be back for sure!“

I was a little off put by the fact that my first interaction basically was "we only have 4 tops, so can you sit at the bar?" I asked if they had hot chocolate and was told that they can make it and not only did they make it she made sure to put it in a hot cup with a lid so I could refill and it would stay hot. I then asked about some food options, and tonight, they had a few specials. One was a pizza, and one was this delicious gnocchi dish I ordered. I was excited to hear the word Gnocci as I love it. So I ordered it with the bread. I was highly impressed with this dish. My only small note would be I wish the Gnocci had remained crispy and not soft just the way I prefer it, but it was still delicious and hot and fresh. I am more than full and didn't finish the bread, thank god!! All the food looked great, and I observed nothing but great customer service. I will tell you it's on the more expensive side as my Gnocci and Bread were $18 by them selves. The portion appeared small for that price, but as I write this, I am stuffed. I would definitely recommend this place for a visit, especially if you are downtown before a show. Hubby almost always gets the Brisket Dinner when it's available. The brisket is braised in Vernors VERNORS!! Being from MI, we know all the benefits that Vernors offers. I usually get the meatballs with the eggplan parmesan. Just delicious! This place makes the best meatballs. Texture is prefect. Flavor is spot on. It comes in a marinara sauce and a generous dollop of creamy riccota. The eggplant parmesan is properly cooked and also delicious. It comes with a side of spagetti. Only critique is the side of pasta lacks sauce. It is a bit pricey, but 2 will eat this for 2 days, so the value is there. This is about as good if not better then most other quality dine in Italian restaurants. And the nicest thing is the staff is excedingly friendly and an absolute pleasure to interact with.“

“Went to Gaudino’s for the first time this week and absolutely loved it! The restaurant is super cute and I love that it has like a little shop and food counter in it too - so unique! The food was amazing! The table shared some sausage and peppers, I had rigatoni with pomodoro, my mom and grandma had the Porcellino, and my papa had the Campagna. Everyone loved their food! And as good as mine was, I can’t stop thinking about the Campagna that my papa shared with me - the braised short rib in it was so tender! Another thing I really loved was that the food was piping hot when it came! The restaurant is a bit far from me, but I’ll definitely want to go back soon because it was so yummy!“
