“The service we received was fantastic. My husband ordered fish and it must've gotten away from the cook because it was really over done. Our server Tyler took it back and was back in a flash with a new plate, and it was yum. My nachos were great, like always. Tyler is an excellent server. He's got a great personality. He was attentive, but not overly so, where it's annoying. I strongly recommend the potato bacon soup. it is out of this world good! Watch out because it's very thick, cheesy, and filling. We'll definitely be back. Thanks to all the staff, especially Tyler. Everyone was on their toes, as it was extremely busy.“

“Stopped in for the first time during lunch on a Wednesday. Staff was super friendly. Atmosphere is any and every generic barbecue place anywhere in the country, not bad but nothing to get excited about. My husband and I shared everything we ordered. Cornbread was a solid 10. Baked beans were as well. I had the BBQ fried rice and it was a 7.5, and I appreciate having unique options. The dill potato salad...I had high hopes. It just lacked something special. I added lots of s&p and it went from a 4 to a 5.5. The Mac and cheese was disappointing, 3.5. The sausage was amazing. 9 all day long. My brisket was good, 7.5. for the portion sizes and food quality, it was more than fairly priced. For Midland, it's amazing food. I'd definitely eat here again when I'm in the area.“

“I would give this place 5 stars for the friendly staff and the fact they still have live music. My only complaint, they served drinks in the most flimsy plastic cups I have ever used. They were kind enough to replace not 1 but 2 of my beverages due to the fact that I couldn't grip the cup to tight, or it would collapse. If I held the cup too loose it would of course slide right out of my hand. I understand that most bars use plastic cups on band nights due to liability but less no go for the less than mid-grade cups on the next order. Other than that, I would recommend the place to anyone looking for good food, atmosphere, and live entertainment .“

Food and drink prices are pretty fair, and the wait staff are very friendly and attentive. My only issue lately has been the lack of cleanliness. “Stopped into One Eighteen with my group of three for the first time. Ethan was our server and he did a great job with service. However, I left a little disappointed at my experience. Bread was fantastic and we ordered the Brussels sprouts which were equally amazing. I had the NY Strip Steak and ordered it medium but it came out Well and was a little rough. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly. My friend ordered the chicken sandwich and he loved it. And my other guest ordered the braised rib which she let me try and I thought as she did that it was great. The ambiance was nice and I enjoyed it. Booths were spacious for us. As for my meal I didn't complain because I didn't want to hold my group up. I did see the dessert from the group next to us and it looked incredible. We declined the dessert but I regret not trying it. Overall we were all happy with service and food. I do wish my steak was cooked better and my guest with the braised ribs commented that she would have liked to have some mushrooms added to it. Otherwise nothing extraordinary but a good meal and pleasant evening. Only recommendation I would give would be to change the paper on the fries. It looks like it's out of a 50's diner and clashed with the setting. We all commented at the same time about the paper. Psychologically it made me think that I was at a Denny's or Bobs Big Boy. Also the obvious, cook the steak right. Would I go back? I think I would but the steak sort of turned me off to it. Maybe I'd go back and order something new. I wanted to try the clam chowder, maybe the chicken sandwich and have a go at the braised rib or dessert.“

“I love this place. Everytime I visit Hemlock, I make sure to make my way over to Farmers. The employees there are amazing. I'm always greeted with love when I walk in. By employees and the regulars. The food there is sooo good. I recommend the cheeseburger of course. They are huge and worth every penny. My favorite burger there is the pineapple express burger. It comes with Pineapple, swiss cheese, bacon and teriyaki. Melts in your mouth. My other go to there are the bone in wings! My sons favorite are the mozzarella sticks. Everytime he always asking to go the green place so he can get cheese sticks and to see the cook Logan his buddy, lol. It's my sons favorite place because the cook Adam will give my kids ice cream at the end or some money to get some candy from the candy machine. My Daughter refuses to go to McDonalds if we are in Hemlock because she'd rather have a cheeseburger from Farmers. I love the atmosphere there. Pretty laid back. I love that they have a patio outback that is heated in the winter so you can go outside and smoke. Will forever be my go to place when I'm back home.“

“The 702, The Deuce. Five stars across the board. I don’t give that rating very often because not many places deserve it, but The 702 delivers, every step of the way.As they like to put it themselves, “It’s a Five Star Dive Bar.” Tucked away at, you guessed it, 702 Jefferson Street, it’s got a surprising amount of room for a relatively small place. Still, there’s plenty of seating for small and big-ish groups, with real live music on the weekends and karaoke/specials during the week. When the weather is nice, you can hang out on the nice patio out front, complete with fireplace, comfy wicker chairs, umbrellas and table service. On summer nights, the 702.5 fires up out behind the bar, with a big dang stage, great music and a full, outside bar.And then there’s the food. It’s not a huge menu, but that’s okay. What they do, they do well. While other bars may claim to have the Best Burger in town, the 702 actually produces that burger, with locally sourced ingredients. The other menu items are great too, like the ham & cheese sandwich, the quesadillas (not just cheese and tortillas) and the potato soup is always out dang standing.Though it’s been around for a while, the building itself is still in pretty good shape, and getting better all the time. The owner makes sure to keep the place looking good, with nice upgrades showing up on a regular basis. No review would be complete without a visit to the head, the latrine, the water closet, the bathroom. It’s surprising how many places don’t get this very important part of the bar right. The Men’s room, though small, is always functional and clean, and that’s a huge plus. On summer nights, there are additional portables out back, which helps because it can get crowded out there.Like any place, the staff really makes the bar, and again, the 702 does it right. You’ll never be waiting for your drink because one of the staff is always right there, always friendly, always taking care of the customers. They rock.If you’ve been there, you know. If you haven’t, you should go. Really. Like, today. Just go. And, as always, don't forget to tip your server.“
